The theme for this month's HOARD is Santa's Workshop! This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of October, 2021. Oh my stars and garters! I've been pre-occupied and Christmas almost slipped past me!

Drosselmyer stopped by Santa's Workshop to consult on some of the more intricate automata. Details are unclear as to who advised whom. I hate an empty hoard. (Don't we all?) So I whipped this up. Put on Tchaikovsky and made it an advent meditation. On pinterest I found a black and white costume sketch from a production by the Arizona Ballet but my google-fu couldn't come up with the designers name. BTW, in case you are wondering "What does this have to do with gaming?" I am still hoping (some day) to create a skirmish game using the "Song of ..." by Ganesha Games as a base. I created the seven headed Mouse King for a previous Christmas Hoard. The idea of "Song of the Nutcracker" would be (like in the original story) magically animated toy soldiers VS anthropomorphic mice. The terrain would be whatever happens to be under your Christmas tree. I haven't worked out the details but Clara's shoe would be some kind of super-weapon. Drosselmyer appears in the story holding back the arms of the grandfather clock. In my game I have to find a way to make time a factor for victory and give Drosselmyer the ability to affect time in a way that is positive for the Nutcracker/Soldiers/Clara player. I think Clara's shoe is most effective in the second before the clock strikes and Drosselmyer can extend that window if the mice don't chase him off (or something.) Again, details remain unclear.

The figure isn't particularly impressive, Punkrabbitt, so I assume you mean the game idea, which does my heart good because in that case I think you are the first person to have expressed an interest in the project. Obviously it takes a genius to recognise my genius. BTW I think I will do the actual Nutcracker for this set later tonight. I assume the hoard will be open until the weekend?

Here is my Nutcracker to lead the toy soldiers. Edit: He is based mostly on @sirrob1 's toy soldier from a previous Christmas Hoard. I recoloured and pasted a nutcracker head on.

Can Drosselmeyer reverse the Nutcracker's curse in time to save Christmas? Follow them both through the candy-cane gate and find out! Get them here; www.onemonk.com/fh-2021.html

The figure is worlds better than anything I can do, so there's that just for starters. But the game idea is fabulous.
