Lately, I've only worked with card-stock and use World Works Games for my terrain--excellent texturing and good variety, even a Mall can be found (think Dead Rising). So, it you don't mind building your own, that's where I'd start.
If you are looking for premade or something other than cardstock, someone else might offer a better suggestion.

I'll second the WWG Mayhem line. Great modern sets. FDG also does one, but the texturing is a little flat for my tastes. Microtactix also has one, but, once again, WWG textures are superior, IMO.
Of course, this is all assuming your looking for modern. If your playing a zombie game, though, you probably are. Right?

My computer went wacko last night and my response disappeared. Oh well, if you knew my setup you wouldn't be surprised. Anyway, what I posted was thanks, yes, I'm doing 2 stories side by side, a modern and a fantasy, both deal with zombie invasions. I'm doing the modern one first, and I have just about zero modern pieces. and it's kind of a game. I'm creating a game for later that my son and my dad can play together, think wargaming for a smart 4 to 6 year old. And his grandpa will give him a run for his money . But, for now, I'm playing with the rules and setting it up while I do. It's a one player game right now (too boring for 2 people till I play for fun and not rules making and pictures) and photographing it to try to get better and get the angles right and such.

Coul someone enlighten this old hobbit, and tell me who/what FDG is? I'm familiar with the other companies mentioned.
Thanks

Hey bookman! FDG stands for Fat Dragon Games, a paper miniature company that specializes in card stock scenery. I like them a lot and they are constantly puting out new stuff at the right price point for me... cheap. Check them out! www.fatdragongames.comonemonkeybeau

Hey OMB you beat me to the punch! FDG do a modern set called EZ-heroes, but it's actually just a set of textures, designed to print out, cut to size and stick on any boxes etc you might have. It therefore needs careful planning but means that every uilding can be unique. I quite like the microtactix ones, nice and simple to build with the minimum of pre planning necessary. You just need to watch out though. They actually have two different scales. 28mm and heroic which would fit with heroclix figures, so youmight need to fiddle with scaling to get the sets to match up. They also have a couple of free sets (pizza place, tv shop in 28mm and a deli in heroic) If you just want some really simple modern style buildings that are free, check out www.germsworld.comThe buildings are simply just a shoebox design, with a lid, but have interiors and lift off roofs but serve well and you can even store your card figures in them afterwards!!

It took me a bit to get to this site, and the buildings were pretty good, but I was really impressed with those tanks. Just gotta change them from 15 mm to 25 and maybe a few other mods...

In my i-wanderings, I've found a couple of sites that are just collections of links to other sites, which have some interesting stuff. This one was one of the best jumping off points: www.ss42.com/toys.htmlI may have doomed you to endless browsing, but that's the way the cookie crumbles...
