I wish I knew what all the text says, but I am posting anyway. I feel such compassion for the Ukrainian people, and for the Russian people who are being misled

I don't know if you have access, but even though I don't 'like' the conclusions of the article in The New Yorker, it is very interesting on 'Great-Power Politics' and does shed a little light on why this shameful situation exists. It is basically an interview with John Mearsheimer. Subsequent to reading that article, I find it interesting that China/Russia/Ukraine articles are in abundance, which Mearsheimer predicted in the interview as being inevitable that China and Russia would be forced to be the Great Powers to end this. Not the EU or US.
I despise situations where the 'morally correct' responses are at odds with 'strategically correct' responses, and when either will probably end in terrible results. On the other hand, since they both result in horrible results, I stand firm in believing one is known for 'who they are', and being known as 'moral' is far greater than being known as 'strategic'.
I am so glad that I am not King of America right now
