This one has me all twisted up in knots. I've waffled, hummed and hawd and I'm still not quite happy. I can't seem to get exactly what I want but I think this is as good a time as any to get some feed back. She'll be slightly taller than the average height of a 30mm figure. I've hidden her hand behind her back on purpose so that the dagger she is holding is hidden too. I'm not completely satisfied with her whip and I'm not quite sure if her extra long ponytail is working for me either. I'm going to try green skin and red for the clothing "patches". I actually tried fishnet stockings as added detail and woo-eee that was the wrong direction! I may already be pushing the limitations of tastefullness on this one.

The ponytail doesn't do anything for me, though I like the overall look.

Hide some of the muscle - smooth her out. Try adding fur-short clipped.... maybe even green tiger strips down her body.

Here is the preliminary color version. I think the green works, a dark blue instead may work too. I'm undecided. All part of process I guess. I may turn her skimpy bikini top into a bustier, and add knife holsters on her leg straps. Maybe add shoulder armour.

Adding the color helps a good bit. Now I can tell that that is all pony tail, and not a real tail. She looks good. My only advice would line up with Abaddon. Try taking out the extra muscle line on her shoulder and the inner line on her right forearm (the one holding the whip) so there are only two sections there. That should tone her down a good bit, while still leaving you with the semblance of a sculpted body. A very nice accompaniment to your Balrog.

You may allready be familiar with it, but for a bit of inspiration, check out the World of Warcraft Succubus.

I had no idea! and if I had decided to go pink (which i considered) instead of green, mine would have looked like more of a rip-off than it does now. The original bra design (and is still in the layered file) was similar too. The WOW looks awesome and I had no intention of making something that was so closely related to an already existing image. a little disappointing actually. Thanks for sharing that image though. ( even down to the whip too, dammit!). I might have to retool somethings.

Try giving her some much bigger wings... wings that are taller and reach further to the ground. That will give you a backdrop for the whip and will make drawing the backside image a lot easier. I would also save most of the tail for the back image... having both the whip and the tail on the front image is a little too "busy"...

You were on the same track as a multi-million selling game. Must be doing something right!

I think it looks good.
One way to smooth out the muscles is to outline them to cover up the black with a darker shade of the flesh color. This way you get highlights, but it still looks like a continuous solid part. Also the figure will look more whole once you have a thick border around it. JIM

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I tried to incorporate as much as I could and I think the suggested changes have really helped. By thinking up ways to modify the muscle but not lose the general feel of the musculature I've discovered a slightly new style that I think I'm going to incorporate into my future figures. Thanks again guys for all the great tips. Scruff

Wow. I did not expect you to rework the whole muscle structure. Looks good though. I like the way the wings were designed from the back and the knife alone is very wicked.

Here is my final succubus. Abaddonwormwood suggested some tiger stripping and I decided to take it up a notch. BAM! Tribal body tattoos. I also added some throwing knives for good luck. You can never have enough throwing knifes....I mean, really. In the middle of a battle, Whos going to shout out and say "Hey guys, do you mind stopping for a minute, while I gather up all my throwing knifes?" I've created a textured file of the succubus which can be found in the July Hoard. and she will have orangish red eyes just for Abaddonwormwood. Scruff

This is so cool - the textured version just captures the sexiness with the alien feel of a creature from beyond time and space.
Very glad you have her/it as 2.5D. At some point down the track do you think we could get "open" wings?
