Sorry if this isn't the right place for this post, but i can't find anymore the Starships/Fighters thread (and searching for "Light Fighter" did not find nothing, even this thread). During my vacations I've built a good percentage of your starships. They're awesome and "fun" to build ("fun" quoted 'cause i HATE the building process... i want to play ;D ) but i have some suggestions/requests about them.. 1) as i use a sturdy, costly paper, it will be possible to have them rearranged so less paper is wasted in the cutting? 2) i'd like to have no dottet lines on the fold of the bigger hulls, but instead some thin line OUTSIDE the models: i can score the fold with a ball pen on the back of the sheet using that guides 3) Bigger black borders around the shape 4) Numbers (dots, greek letters, whatever) on the hulls to identify each miniature. 5) ENEMIES!!! I need the counterparts for them Take this all as constructive feedback: i really like them and i desperately hope for some enemy. About the PDF layouts, if you're busy with other projects, i will like to take care of them: i'll need your "sources", and i'll send back the final result to you. Thanks for that ships again.

parduz,
Thank you for such warm feedback on the Terran fleet! I designed these on a whim one day after a great game of Homeworld 2 with an old friend of mine. I am pleasantly surprised to say that they are to date my most popular models. Unfortunately the project is permanently shutdown.
This was my first attempt at making paper miniatures that other people could use and the Heavy Fighter was in fact the first ever file that I released to the Internet. My design program at the time was MS-paint (Vista) and all the textures and what not were done by hand as well as all the layouts and line art. The figures were in 300dpi but due to the limitations of MS-paint I could only do so much. As the fleet grew so did my skills with graphics programs like photoshop and illustrator (my 2 programs of choice now) and unfortunately I just lost interest in doing the figures the old way in paint so the project died. The above mentioned shortcomings of my skills and the programs I had been using can explain the lack of quality fold lines, black borders, layout and a general poor quality of art.
At this time I have no intention of expanding, creating or revamping any of my starship designs. Perhaps (almost a certainty) I will do some more designs in the future that will be more on par with what I wanted to create a year ago. With that being said I will be more then happy to provide you with all the master files that I have for you to do with as you please. Just PM me your email address and ill see about getting them to you.
Thanks again for your interest and as always feedback is more then welcome. I'm still and always will be learning and it helps point me in the right direction!
Nate

5) ENEMIES!!! I need the counterparts for them From the mists of time, the MMiP archive has these counters and 2.5D minis: 32- Space Capitol Ships19 - StarshipsSome of them mesh very well with Slick's style, other aren't so useful. Edit: fixed the links.

Neither of those links works for me, sorry - can you check the address? I get the following error message:
"The requested URL /32-SpaceCapitolShips.html was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Nate, i truly understand you: i'm a hobbist musicians, i'm 39 and i play keyboards ang guitar from when i was 6. In my teen era i wrote a lot of songs and (being still an hobbist) you can figure what was the quality of that things Well, i met some old friends after 15 years (mostly thanks to Facebook) and they are all begging me to record 2 of that songs (which i still think are almost crap, compared to what i've done in the last 10 years). What i want to say is: don't let them "die". I think that they're so much loved 'cause they're unique: i don't want to put down anyone, but how many other ships have you found in this forum, compared to < paper figure name here>? They're simple to build (even for me!!!) and cool to look at. Do a "remastered" edition, and republish them ;D PM sent. Thanks!

Slick,
I've had the Shock Troopers since just after they were first posted, but I've never gotten around to printing them out. I had limited ink and while my cardstock was nice, it wasn't quite crisp enough to make me happy with flats. I finally broke out the Hammermill coverstock that was in the Ebbles Supply Depot (r.i.p.) and my CISS last night, and the Shock Troopers were the second thing I printed.
The models rock! While I won't be completely replacing all of my lovely metal goodies, I think these are going to see a bunch of time in games of Combat: Alien Suns and FUBAR. I'm also thinking that buying the N.C.C. army is something I'll finally do now that I've got my new paper and ink.
You've won me over.

Hello, I've been lurking for a little while now. Love the pieces, by the way. A quick question about the Terran Fleet. Where are the fins supposed to go on the Corvettes? I can't seem to locate a pic of a completed one. Thanks,
Sandtable

Thanks, Sandtable If you mean the "vertical part", it goes under (it's barely seen under the top-center ship) www.papermakeit.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=30&Itemid=70

Hello, I don't mean to be a bother, but uh... all the links at the top appear to be down and Papermakeit only seems to be marketing terrain now. I'd love to see those ships and figures.

Thank you so much. The ships are great and so are the figures! I was also blown away by some of the other things on the site. I downloaded a copy of the demo for the terrain creator to see if it is what I want to go with for generating map tiles for my modern and sci-fi gaming.

I just recently corresponded with Slick/Nate; he's touched that people are still seeking out his works and modding them. These are now here as well as at Papermakeit.com
