Excellent looking minis! I especially like the peasant militia!
I also like your scale line comparisons. I remember my old copy of Call of Cthulhu came with a size chart to relate the sizes of the various evil beasties to the average human. I've been toying around with the idea of creating some fantasy monsters and I wish I had a reference to size them by...

Very nice, they fit my style perfectly. I like the subdued colors, makes them look more realistic.
Are you still wary of the rear views? Their not really miniatures without rear views. JIM

They look very good, an army awaiting to be printed and mounted! A good more down to earth army to balance the more fantastic elements that we usually have here.
Color me very interested!
Backs would be good, but I don't see them as essential on side looking minis. If you are up to it, them by all means draw them, they certainly add value to the minis.
More variety in the faces and hair would be nice. But as they are right now I would get them in an instant!

So far, so good! Give them some rear views and these should be ready.
Only criticism I can offer is to use more face on or 3/4 faces. All but one of these is side on. Also, could use more shading on the clothes.

Gatchaman!
Great to hear from you again!
This is a very nice set! And like Jim said they will fit in nicely with his stuff!
I think Kane's observation regarding the 3/4 view faces is very valid. A 3/4 view gives much more 3D believability to a 2D object.
I would also like to see you try to vary the faces. As they stand right now, it looks like one guy trying on a bunch of different outfits in different poses.
I think all paper models should have a proper facing and rear image and with that being said I hope you do plan on making proper rear images for this set... I would love to use them!
Great job and I can tell you've been working hard on taking all our advice!
Hope to see more from you very soon!

I really can't add to the constructive criticism, since all the points I noticed have already been said.
I really like the colors and the combination of colors!!! Very nice set of figures. Also, the poses are good!

Thank you for your comment ! I guess I can't skip the rear view, but I am not wary about itjust a bit lazy I guess Anyway I am on it I will try to work on shadows too... Thank you again, I am amazed I haven't been forgotten after all this time ;D

I like the minis. The faces get a bit repetitive. Looks like it would be a great set for a master of disguise. With the backs they'll be very good. That is a strange texture that you've placed over almost every figure. Outta curiosity, what is it?

I like them. I could repeat Jim and ask you to do back for them, but you have already said you are on it. I like the texture, but again it needs more shading to make them pop. But that is something somebody has mentioned before me.

Ok I see where I have to go for improvment... I cannot answer all the questions yet but... I use textures taken from the net to color the minis with a little twist (contrast, lightning). I work with Paint Shop Pro... when the figure is colored , I add the blackline, then I pass it through Vector Magic since I mostly work on a 4:1 scale to design the figures. Vector Magic gives a little blur to the textures but let the lines sharp (from my point of view... Finally, here is what I made from all your advice It took me about two hours to get done...by the way how much time do you take to make a mini It takes me two to three hours to have one done from the beginning (first design) to the end (scaling)...

2-3 hours per figure is about right, depends on the figure.
This is why it's good to do army figures, the first one takes a bit of time, but the rest are just colored the same and much faster.
I have been known to kick out a single figure in under an hour, when I have the motivation... JIM

very good minis' set ( or sets ).
But i think, for next sets, that face on or 3/4 faces are essential. This because on playing ( wargames or rpg ) if one miniature is positioned respect to its line of sight player see a line not whole man.
Sorry for my english.

2-3 hours per figure is about right, depends on the figure. Ummm... double that for me. I am very slow. I spend about a third of the time drawing and designing and the rest coloring. So 2 hours is fantastic, especially with a shading layer over the whole thing. ;D

The Paladin Order (or whatever you call it) looks very good, Gatchaman. That's something I don't think we've seen before as a set. Looking forward to the final results!

Although I have ideas, tell me about new characters, poses etc. if you have back sides, 3/4 faces ( not all ), more various faces and shadows are all. Some running and kneeling poses are good alternatives to "classic hack". An human fantasy army is welcome.

Archers that can be ranked - a row kneeling with a second row standing. Also a Archer + Sheild bearer combo - so you could have a row of standing archers behind a tall protective shield.
Some spell effect halo glows surrounding a figure - something that could be printed out on film and placed behind the figure on it's stand.
These are simply great. I am itching to see what you publish.

These are very nice figures, Gatchaman. I like the shaded version of the archer. My only suggestion there would be to have him holding the arrow by the flight; or better yet: reaching for an arrow.
I'm looking forward to seeing some more finished minis from the first post.
Cheers,
