This one's similar to the Tall Hostel, but thinner, and with some fun dormer window options. You'll get lots of base texture options and external features, as with my other multi-layered models. This one also includes a couple of shipping crates. I'm going to be adding little extras like that when there's empty space that needs to be filled up. So this is really the last of my smallish medieval fantasy models for a while. It's all bigger stuff from here on... although I'm getting more interested in doing some sci-fi models. I'll see what I feel like working on tomorrow.

When you get back to smaller housing can you make some that will "lock" together side by side easily to give the feeling of a Cheek to Jowl street?
This one looks great. I do like the windows.

Yep that is a good looking model!
A particularly nice design aesthetic on this one!

The dormers make a HUGE difference. Gives it a ton more depth.

Thanks! This one was fun to design. When you get back to smaller housing can you make some that will "lock" together side by side easily to give the feeling of a Cheek to Jowl street? You can do that pretty easily with my models already. Just trim off the excess roof (and footprint pieces if you use them) so that the buildings sit flush next to each other. I know you're not crazy about the multi-layered approach, but this one model alone will let you create a pretty long street section like that. Just use different faces on the buildings, flip them around and make use of the whole selection of textures. This one offers loads of texture combinations. There's brick like you see here, also stone, wood and half-timbered -- and the wood and half-timbered sections are split so that you can apply them to just the upper floors, or just the lower floors. Lots and lots of possibilities. If you combined this one with the Tall Hostel and Quaint House or Small Shop, you'd have a nice variety of heights and widths on the buildings.

I really like this one. I know you are not into it, now, but if you ever do get into building the insides, this will be a great setup to have opening windows. I guess I just like the dormers, no matter where you have them. It might also be good to use them with some columns or timber to make an archway or entry way. That would liven up any guild hall, bank, etc. That and maybe some balconies. ;D

The dormers are a very nice bit of 3d detail and balconies or second story walk-up entrances with stairs would be my requests.
