Here is a preliminary figure for this months "Santa Wars" Hoard. I obviously still need to create the back and I'll add some shadow. Scruff

What as Yukon Cornelius mining for? ~F Trick question! Peppermint (mines)! A bit confusing because of the whole "Silver and Gold" set up and song but he was looking for peppermint. Scruff

"How do you like that? Even among misfits you're a misfit!"
The finished Cornelius has now been posted in the Santa Wars forum.

Bingo! Good to see someone else as fascinated by the Rankin/Bass animation. I would also like to see the original version that shows him(Yukon) finding a Peppermint mine near Santa's Workshop. BTW 2 years ago (at the Toy show near me) they had the originally restored Santa maquette used in those specials. It and a few other models were found floating around(in disrepair) in peoples Christmas Tree ornament collections! Apparently they were just taken from the Studios at some point by workers. Can you believe that!!!! I really want to make paper models of all the Misfit Toys(or the most popular ones, atleast) but I don't think I'll get to them this year. Although I have started working on them. Last bit of Trivia, promise! What was Dolly's reason for being a misfit toy? ~F

Was it because she cried when you held her? I have the dvd at home, we'll have to start watching all of our Christmas shows.

What was Dolly's reason for being a misfit toy? ~F Good one. You Stumped me on that! I had to google it. It seems the consensus is that she was just unloved..pretty much like all the other misfit toys, but nobody can come up with a valid reason for her being unloved. It seems to be a lot of speculation. I would also like to see the original version that shows him(Yukon) finding a Peppermint mine near Santa's Workshop. ~F It's only a couple seconds of footage, where santa and Rudolph take off with the Sleigh at the end of the movie and Yukon shouts out for joy and flings his axe in the air, then quickly picks it up from the ground (as he does throughout the whole show) sniffs it, licks it and exclaims how excited he is about finding peppermint and that he's been looking for peppermint all his life.....I just finished watching it with my kids. I may be able to create a quick .avi exert for you if you are interested. I can't guarantee quality though. Scruff

I've now added the "Abominable snowman" to the Santa Wars Horde. I'd like to add Hermey and Rudolph but I don't think I'll have time. Paul
