Thanks, Rhannon. The first two and Okumart's figure work. Could always use more ... hint, hint

Here are a few from my wishlist. 1. WWII US and Germans. 2. Modern Troops of current conflicts. 3. Some of the cool troops from Weird War II (Wehrwolfs undead from all combatants ETC.) 4. Aliens, Movie type. 5. Zombie First Responders, (usually the first victims) 6. Sci Fi type elfs Just a couple of ideas to mull over.

I am thinking of venturing into those 2 departments at some point.

If you do, is it possible to have them as 'layered' files? Correct weapons for time period and Alternate Reality Sci Fi weaponry/body armor. I think that would be extremely useful to folks.

frank.. I have done some Aliens in the sci-fi rangers thread.. going to add a batch with a blue tone for variation. @vermin King .. I am not sure I understand the 'layered' files thing? But will add all I can to make them realistic and varied, will move into the Vietnam scenario too.

Hi Graeme, ( OT: but do you live in the European time zone? ) A layered file ( I talk as a long time fan, buyer and collector, not as an author or as a technical knowledge holder ), I know only pdf file, or rather he means ( I soppose ) a multilayer pdf, is a "multilayer" ( sorry ) file. Each level ( layer ) has parts of the drawing or its different options. We can choose levels and so we can not modify a figure and print it as you prefer. Different color, with different weapons, with a different face, with different accessories... Many authors make their products in this way. I apologize for my rough English. Ciao Giorgio. PS: about World War II, WW2, ( about Vietnam era there are some horror variations but not steampunk, fantasy or sci-fi ) I think Vermin King intends to request in his wishlist ww2 historical figures ( germans, americans, russians ... ) and their www ( weir world war, so www2 is better ) variant. In a multilayered pdf the main level contains the historical figures, with the next levels you can change weapons and details.

Thanks for the explanation Rhannon.. I am not sure about the layered weapon options etc.. I would much prefer to design as many variations as are needed. I live in Britain.. so yes

Closest that comes to mind for me would be Patrick Crusiau's swashbucklers or possibly Thirty Years War, from www.gwindel.eu/Autre/Figs/Figurines.html Just click on the images, hover over them to see the link.

Fast reply ( then I seek for the required topic ). "Josedominguez" has designed a few squads for Mordheim, and Cowboy drew the figures' backs. I think there is also a hunters' team. [edit]: mordhiem game, but some help finding figsOK. Found! Great, Josè! Great, Cowboy!

Thanks, you are live-savers! I can't and don't want to imagine what my group would have done to me, if I had brought GW originals to an all cardstock game, after I myself have silver-tongued them into all cardstock...

Does anyone have any thoughts on what a disgruntled zombie might look like? In my head, he sounds just like Rodney Dangerfield - "I don't get no respect."
BTW: For those who aren't familiar, a disgruntled zombie is a zombie who has somehow (through magical means) regained a measure of his willpower. They make great interior designers and love to throw parties (though they often drink most of the alcohol). They have the ability, on a successful will check, to fight the compulsions placed on them by a necromancer. They refuse to fight or kill (too messy, and then there's dragging the bodies around to dispose of them - gross!)
Well, so there you are. Let's see what you can come up with!

Looking for some xvarts. Would prefer the look from Volo's Guide (5E) rather than the Fiend Folio. The best approximate I've been able to find are the goblin mods of the MIP Goblin Warband. There is a blue version of them that is a good stand-in.

Could these be modded? cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/post/27686For firefighters, I bet you are looking for something less like this And more like this Went through the OBS sites and didn't find much. Looked for images, and didn't completely draw a blank. Clipart and coloring pages didn't yield much either

Other than SWAT members, I'm really surprised that their aren't more police images that could be turned into action minis. Not many more, but there are more firefighter images (and I tried all kinds of query combinations), but I'm not sure what you would like to see EMTs doing

There is a blue version of them that is a good stand-in. Would Pathfinder "mites" do? Little grumpy blue fellas with big ears.....? There are a few in the Pathfinder Paper Minis for part 1 of the Kingmaker Adventure Path (including one riding on the back of a giant bug - cute!!!). paizo.com/products/btpy8dr7/discuss&page=2?Pathfinder-Paper-Minis-Kingmaker-Adventure-Path-Part-1-Stolen-Land#59Note - like all the PPM these have mirrored backs. And can be quite small compared to other ranges if printed at actual size.

Thanks for the suggestion migibb! I think I'm going to stick with the blue mod MIP Goblin Warband, because they have real backs, I already own the file, and I haven't found a use for the MIP goblins yet (I prefer the look of other goblin sets for goblins, including the the burly goblin that comes in the MIP Goblinoid set). How small are the Pathfinder paper minis? I've never considered those before. Are they more like true 25 mm?

Probably about that - or at the very least comparable to Permes/Papercraft Dungeon/Pasiphilio's - all of which I generally print at about 110% so they match up better with Okumarts and One Monk.

Have you been reading Terry Pratchet? In one of the Discworld novels ( Interesting Times) an ancient terracotta army of golems is brought to "life." The plan goes awry. If I was in a hurry for a terracotta army I would take some ancient Chinese figures and re-colour them. My search in Drivethru rpg for historic Chinese figues came up blank but you might have better luck. There are these at Junior General. juniorgeneral.org/index.php/figure/view/AncientChineseInfantry Might be a start.

There is Shaungamer88's Mongols vs Chinese from When Worlds Collide but they are in 15mm scale.

Just was printing out a Japanese army and thought a good fantasy adversary would be a chinese style army. the usual spearmen, archers etc plus a chinese wizard, some kung fu types,a chinese dragon and the mentioned clay golems.
