Thank you so much! TNG figures look great! I should really do some Movie Era (Wrath of Khan) sets.

The Wrath of Khan uniforms are my favourite! I actually saw a fan site where they used the Wrath of Khan cut but the OS colour code (i.e. Science in blue, engineers in red etc) it looked awesome. Just sayin'

There's a forum called Starfleet 1701st Star Trek Uniform Club, where someone combined the TWOC with TNG. Perhaps that's the website you're referring to, cowboyleland. I personally think that this should have been the TNG uniform, as it would have presented a logical evolution of the uniform from the Movie-era to TNG. However, I guess that this mod wasn't even existing back when they produced TNG and that noone at Paramount was able to come up with something so logical and simple...

The image I remember was computer generated but that doesn't matter, the concept is the same. I think that version of the uniform looked best with the top of the tunic undone making a white square on the shoulder. You could use a few of the images you linked to as figures if you just add a head. The pose would get a little monotonous if you did too many.

Ahhh! You just warmed the cockles of this old Trekkie's heart. I'll probably never run trek campaign, but I will find a place of honor for them, somewhere near my TV.

Shep, I had a little problem with your mods. I print in photo machines, and for some reason when I export to GIMP your PDF, the figures show plenty of jpeg compression, almost blurred. Yet the figures that you showed here on the post look perfect: cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/post/58235/threadDo you have better quality ones?

I don't know if this has already been posted elsewhere in this thread, but there is a model of TOS Enterprise Bridge here at The Lower Hudson Valley Paper Model E-Gift Shop, designed by Ron Caudillo (ronaldcaudillo@yahoo.com). There are photos, and here are the directions. Yet another option for these awesome okumarts minis!

Yes, I have this in my HD, but I don't know if I got it from seeing it posted here.
I didn't build it because I'm playing in the TNG era, so the bridge would look ancient. I did found a Intrepid deckplan schematics but I just can't be satisfied with my texture work on it. Everything I try looks crap.
I'm using Future Armada Argus III space station tiles for the interior of the ship. I just substituted the panels for LCARS interfaces on the bridge.

I tried to build that bridge once. Maybe my paper crafting skills have improved over the years. It's also incredibly fragile. I need something more robust. That's why I built the fold flat stuff.

Yes, it didn't looked that it could handle tabletop gaming wear and tear. I would reinforce everything gluing into cereal box cardboard, but them I would have to replace the small tubes with something else. Rolling cereal boxes into small tubes are a pain and the result is ugly.

When it comes to small tubes, I usually substitute dowels, toothpicks, skewers, or even wire.

I was considering just doing an "X" form for the chairs, or a toothpick.

Your problem with printing the minis is a little bit strange, since I used no compression whatsoever. However, I uploaded an uncompressed TIFF of the TNG minis to my dropbox, you can download it here: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/37991612/ST%20Minis___TNG.tifMaybe, you'll have more luck with that version...

Since we have been talking about TOS-style starship bridges, I'd like to re-post a link that I already shared earlier in this thread... I can at least offer a battlemap of a TOS style starship bridge. You can download it from my deviantART account here: theshepster.deviantart.com/art/USS-Dingo-NCC-2650-Bridge-Layout-372048416Scale is set for 28/30 mm, so you just need to download the PDF and print it with a plotter or poster printer, since the map is freckin' huge... Oh, and I'm working on the complete deck plan for an Archer class scout in 28/30 mm scale. It will need some more time, though... And yes, I'm still working on those Archer class deck plans, but even on so small a ship there are so many rooms with so many details that finishing the deck plans always collides with the so little time I can spare for this project...

I was inspired by this design for M'Ress: (yes, that's a Voyager era uniform. In the books she was frozen, time traveled, etc...) And modded an Okumarts's mini to suit:

super. which rule system did you use for your WNMHGB? I believe he uses Where No Man Has Gone Before (http://www2.abillionmonkeys.com:3389/trek/), based on MicroLite20... However, in my opinion, Far Trek (http://fartrekrpg.blogspot.de/) would be another great choice for TOS-styled Trek games. (Even though you could just as well play Phase II, TMP, TNG, Enterprise and all the other eras/series with it.)

Well, I know Gurps since the 90ties and I have alot of source books. I like the system because of its excellent design. But its way too complex for me and my group for any practical use. We hate to look up rules during play and use rather simple rule system which our restricted intelligence could more easily remember like BRP, Savage Worlds, lablord or Minifantasy.
