Say, that is an INGENIOUS design for the bodies to slide onto the hull. Nicely done.

Ran the second episode of my new campaign and it was great fun. Medusans, Romulans and a new character that is catlike (but not a Catian). I guess I'll have to make some new figures for my current campaign. The Medusan smugglers are subdued, but a gang of Romulans show up to take away the Medusan commander and destroy his ship. Are the Medusans going to be for WNMHGB? or are they pre-exsiting figs from something else?

Okumart, ever think of adding a layer to the Landing Party to make them "Mirror Universe"?
I really do love your WNMHGB stuff.

The mirror universe idea is really cool! I am in need of some new minis for my campaign. The next set will probably be a real mixed bag. I'm thinking of calling it Federation Characters or something like that. The ship to ship game is still developing as a Retrospace project. I've just had to focus on 'real life' recently and have been playing games for fun as opposed to 'work'. I have a backlog of mini sets I am working on. Tons of stuff on the way.

As I sit here rolling randomly on WNMHGB charts for adventure creation, I thought of a couple more ideas for minis. Federation crew in Orange haz-mat suits, and the silver space suits. Just one each for male/female. HMM .... well maybe 3 each, 1 w/phaser, 1 w/tricorder, 1 w/nothing in hands. and some Orion Pirates......

my character was a vendorian...(cartoon series shapeshifting alien) heres what they looked like in the cartoon I'm wondering, how did you Stat him up Race wise for WNMHGB? How extensive is the shapeshifting ability?

There are lots of good ideas there. Orion Pirates, eh? I will have to get on that. As I sit here rolling randomly on WNMHGB charts for adventure creation, I thought of a couple more ideas for minis. Just a head's up: not only have I just finished released a bug-fix version of WNM (with some more optional rules and tweaks),* I just wrapped up a quick supplement called "Controlled Implosion." It's up for download at www.abillionmonkeys.com/trek. It's mostly odds and ends from my brain. Think of it as an extended version of the Appendix from the original--optional fun stuff you can safely ignore or use as you feel like. * In case you're curious/don't feel like reading the entire thing again: Talent tweaks (He's Dead Jim and Field Medic, some minor other Talent adjustments), some optional combat rules, phasers ramped up in deadliness, some other minor rules adjustments.

Also, is my paper mini page still up-to-date? I think I've got most of them up to now.
...and I'm physically lusting after those paper ships. Very cool.

I will be releasing another set of Trek paper minis this summer. Maybe even some movie era costumes? We'll see. Thanks so much Mike! The supplement Controlled Implosion is really great. I love the addition of the Klingon character class! Brilliant! Now I want to run an all-Klingon campaign.

Oh.. Paper ships should be available sometime next month. I am making an original game and thought my play testers would be more excited to play test it if I used Trek ships.

The Second Movie Costumes!
My favorite is the Enterprise NX-01 Era, but the Red Jacket Movie Era is a close second. First Movie uniforms are too clean and laboratory-like for my tastes.

The red jacket movies are what I think of when I think TMP-era. The original TMP uniforms were very...70's...looking. I do kinda like the fact that security wears armor. In theory. I'm not sure the chin-strap 1920's style football gear with the big "A" on the helmet was such a great idea. I always thought a Klingon campaign would be a blast. Everything would be over the top and Wagnerian. One of the experience awards would be people writing songs and legends of your exploits, which would give you bonuses. So many stories would be told about your adventures, your gear would acquire bonuses and epithets, as if they were magic items. Everything would be a big quest. Half the plots would be straight out of Shakespeare.

Two things: what is "TMP?" and I found online one time a picture of the "Wrath of Khan" red jackets re-coloured to blue and gold like the original series. Just a thought, if you are wondering what to put on another layer.

Here is some motivation: I'm wondering where those bases came from. They look like they are premade, plastic, paper mini bases. Anyone know? Also, any chance that someone is doing up some Kzinti from "Star Fleet Universe" (ie. Prime Directive, Star Fleet Battles, A Call to Arms: Star Fleet)?

Hey, thanks to Rhannon I was able to find a decent Shuttlecraft. The Nacelles were super fiddly and I totally screwed up the back, but overall, I am really pleased with it. Here is the linkie for the shuttle. It is 1:72nd scale and I blew it up to the scale from the technical manual. www.cutandfold.info/html/koolwheelz_free_paper_models.html

This brings me to another topic about my Trek sets: scale. They are more classically 28mm which means that they are a bit out of scale with my other mini sets (which are heroic 30mm). HOW out of scale? Well, one only has to put them side by each. Now, THAT is the extreme, but it's made me think, "should I rescale my Trek sets?" The Trek sets were the first full sets of minis that I made. There are MANY problems with alignment, etc. that wouldn't happen now. I was learning. The thing is, I really love these sets and I think it would be a shame to let them be broken. Some of my other sets in relation: Finally, some other figures I use: that'd be AT-43, Heroclix, Heroclix, Heroclix, Retrospace, Trek and Star Wars mini. What do you guys think? Is it worth it? Is the scale just fine in your opinion?

I love whatever you do, and a friend of mine built your Star Trek minis for a boardgame he was developing. IMHO, you should rescale them in the "Heroic" scale, for these reasons: - They are of the same quality of your commercial set, i think they deserve to stay well aside of them - for the user is always better to reduce a scale if needed than to enlarge it. Or: just make them as vectors: that way the problem is non-existent ;D

That makes sense to me, if you want to do the effort of enlarging them. Like Parduz said, it's easier to reduce than enlarge.
Glad you checked out Dave's site. I keep dropping hints in the links section, but there seemed to be little interest. Dave's Tumbler was the first model I did that I really liked for itself. Looks good compared to whatever medium you choose, whether metal, plastic or paper. Frankly a friend's son had a die-cast version, and Dave's card version looks superior.
Granted, it's the wrong scale, but he also has a model of the Enterprise and a Space Dock. Not to mention the Blade Runner and other SciFi models.

I was able to rescale the shuttle in photoshop to bring it in line with the minis. It is two pages.

I'd vote to enlarge them. Then they with be even better if that is possible. Love the shuttle pic. I'll have to build one now. I am working on a model of the stargazer that I saw on one of those sites! How do the rules you use for this play? I've never been a big fan of the d20 system, and only played 3.5 for a short period of time before shelving it and going back old school or sometimes playing Savage Worlds. I don't know if that is just me being a big boor and an old grognard and not wanting to change after having played 1st ed since 1981 or what. There was always something about the system that seemed rules heavy and broken to me. Does the microlite system change it very much?
