www.crayola.com/canwehelp/products/cutter/index.cfmI saw this at Babies R Us today and was tempted to buy it. The blurb on the back said it would cut through cardstock and if it's correct I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be able to handle folded matte photo paper. I'd feel a bit silly using it though.

it's a punch cutter, so it perforates the paper rather than cutting, then you have to tear out your shape.... great for making cards and stuff, but no way you'd be able to cut out the details on a figure.

It looks like a viable alternative to those with arthritis or weakness in the hands. I'll go check it out, if it's not too expensive I'll pick it up and see if I can cut figures with it or hurt myself, probably both. It will be hard to resist the Hanna Montana craft kit though, **SQUEEEE**

MSRP is $19.99 but the one I saw at Babies R Us was on clearance for $14.99. Amazon has it for $9.99.

For $10, if it's any good at all, I'd buy it just to cut out the gap in between miniatures legs. ;D

I've seen it and was not impressed. Like Jose said, it is really a glorified perforating machine and not much at that. It leaves raggedy edges. Good if you have no hobby knife or scissors, but not really a replacement.
