Hi, all Just thought I'd let you all know that Fat Dragon Games has just released E-Z Future: Deluxe Edition. Although it bears the name of their old E-Z Future set, this set features all new textures, multiple layer options, new items, and a leap forward in modularity and ease of storage with the E-Z Lock system.
I have to confess my ignorance about the EZ-Lock system; Is that only for connecting walls in a temporary modular fashion or is there a part of the system that connects the tiles together?
There is really no need to connect tiles together, because your base can be a full sheet of foam core. The ground texture is glued to the foam core. Then square holes are cut at regular intervals and covered with little drop-in covers. Every so often you remove a cover and use an E-Z Lock pillar, which fits in the square holes, and connect the walls to the pillar. This makes the walls completely bump proof. The wall pieces are secured to one another and the E-Z Lock pillars with bobby-pins. Here's a few of examples of E-Z Lock being used.
Nice that he included hovering Security bots(reminds me of that remote control UFO toy you can buy) and a ship. Plus the ability to alter the texture overlays is always an added bonus for customization.
I don't think his texturing is quite up to the par of his Fantasy stuff though, that said it looks to be a pretty nice set.
I'm just shocked Titan was released in 2010. I'd seriously given up on it until next year.
I think it would have been a 2011 release had there not been an evaluation and refocus. It's a nice looking set of textures for a space ship corridor. The release is Spartan to the point of being anemic ... but I have faith in Paul as he is the one that usually chocks his sets full of stuff. (And I believe he may have went overboard a bit before really have a firm hold on TLX... and probably had to reconfigure/redo a bit of it.) I fully expect a lot of goodness on the expansion.
stoff: These are the versions that i was talking about.

squirmydad: That's okay, so is the IRS. I'm pretty sure my tax return is one of the millions stored in trailers and unprocessed.
