I'm trying to build some machine cutted miniatures. When i was cutting them by hands, i used biadhesive tape: i put it before folding the whole miniature strip on one side of the "valve", and then i fold it. I finally cut the minis, and all is clean. Now i have pre-cutted minis, and i can't use that thing anymore (or i sould cut it nullifying the precutting advantage. But the glue i use is a mess: it is a stick glue: The "paste" breaks on every sharp corner of the minis, resulting in a mess of glue paste over the mini instead of inside it. Now i see that our US friends have any kind of fancy thing to use: the uhu glue "pen" that i've seen in some building instructions, the elmer's glue that does not made the paper "wave".... but what i can find here? what EU ppl use to glue minis? Thanks

Spray glue and a sheet of newspaper is what I use, for paper mini's I use the cheap stuff as if they de-laminate there easy to re-glue . I think I get a 100 out of 1 can, I tend to spray 4-6 at the same time. I have used pva glue and water based contact cement with a small paint brush in the past but its painfully slow...

So, how many minis you lay down for the spray glue? How much time you use to fold and glue from the first you pick to the last? I guess that if i spray too much minis, the last will dry before i fold it...

depends on the glue, but for a normal non-intricate mini (eg turtle muskets) 4-5. If it's got lots of bits hanging of or is big 2-3 (eg spiders, cavalry).
Most of the spray glues I have access to, the glue after spraying on seems to be workable for 2-3 mins, and I don't need very much a very light dusting on both halves for them to hold.
the only glue I've tried that hasn't worked so well is Fuller spray bond but I think its an Aus brand.

Well, it worked. I found this: which is slow to dry, but it is workable (and positionable) for about 6-10 minutes. The only problem are: 1) Minis flyes away... i have to spray from very far trying to press the button only half way 2) I now have the same powers of Spiderman! Thanks for the suggestion. I'd write some tought and suggestion in the MeckAttack thread about what i've done today.

try spraying down almost vertically from above, rather than from an angle, should help with the unwanted miniature flying:) I'll check out the armourgrid forum

As i felt that my suggestions could be good (if they have any goods) for other designers also, i wrote here, in the Armorgrid Section

I'm using the one from your first post, and I didn't run into any problems. I've used a cheap one a while back, I think it was from Henkel, and it didn't really work at all for our kind of models.

Satrek, are you gluing pre-cutted minis with that Stick glue? In this case, then you're better at it than me (which i'm sure it is anyway, i've the worst hand in the world ) My problem is that the paper corners "peels" the white "paste" like when you peel butter with a knife, making bits of glue going over the painted part.

I usually cut them by hand, sometimes I use my CraftRobo, but I need to install the driver on my PC again and didn't get around to doing that yet. I think it works fine to glue together the sandwich-fold for the uncut minis. It also worked for the cut ones from the robo, but usually I got more on my hands than on the mini...

I use Pritt&Uhu sticks. The secret is to glue them together BEFORE you cut them out.
I use a punchline-cutter-blade in the rollcutter i use to score the paper minis from this site here, it doesn't cut the paper directly, but makes a line of tiny cuts that can be seen from both sides.
Then i do glue one half of the sheet, fold the other half up and over the score-punched line and push it flat.
Worked ever since and makes it a lot easier.

Does that work in a robocutter though?
Parduz, most spray glues will stay sticky for a long time until they are pressed together. They make the paper minis a bit like sticky tape. I use a 3M spray adhesive and I can leave minis overnight and they will still stick together next morning.
As for stopping them flying away....... get some metal rods ( a wire coat hanger made straight will do) and use that to pin the models down, lay it over the centre fold line and it won't get in the way of the glue too much. Should work OK as the base tab is inside the base anyway, if you are a flat baser it's also fine as you'll cut that bit off.
