Sure, you can throw your paper minis in a Ziploc bag, but what about the OTHER stuff? What do YOU use to store your models, buildings and vehicles in? Just curious, because I have a city with OVER 14 buildings, and am starting on my third base, and NOW just completed my Farmstead... Not to mention the 38 vehicle kits I have built... Any suggestions would be appreciated! (Besides, "Stop building stuff..." My wife tried that one already).

I suppose it is too late for you, but I don't build anything that I can't fold flat and stuff between books or behind furniture. Ps, best not to let your wife read that.

3 years ago I went mad and assembled over 30 Fantasy houses and bridges etc. to rebuild the typical warhammer city. I also made several sets from hinterland, mountains and the cave set from Fat Dragon and Worldworks. Well the props were great in my rpgs but after a while I realized that I dont have the space in my appartement to store the stuff especially if the collection grows over the years. So I gave up and gifted the models to a friend. So what I learned is: I never touch 3D stuff again before I dont own a house with big hobby room. Untill then I only assemble 2D minis and store it in a shoe box.

Modular builds that break down flat. That's the way to go. I store all my stuff in about 8 shoeboxes now that tuck away into a sideboard in my dining room. Minis fit in there as well. Cars and terrain pieces go into 3 plastic rubbermaid bins that I scoot down into my studio when I am entertaining the ladyfolk. Voila, problem solved.

for mini's I use Afet's solution, gaming card sleeves, I've placed them in a zipup ring binder thing, Keeps everything together nice and flat and compact.
small box holds the bases.
I've been converting my 3d builds slowly to the wwg format, so they store flatter. Pain to build but compact to store. props etc end up in small box's, taking a long time to convert stuff is all...
