I almost bought the Hinterland Forests earlier, but I like the TerrainLinx version better. Glad I waited. I hope they are updating everything for TLX, I would really like the Skull Cove one for our 50 Fathoms campaign!
I really like that they have those mini-views of the pdf pages in the preview pics. Give me a better idea of what's in the set.

Bought this set years ago when it first came out since I was in desperate need of outdoor scenery. I must say, it works very well. I printed out a large assortment of ground tiles on magnet paper (my playing surface is a big piece of steel about four feet by three feet), a mess of trees, a mess of terrain pieces, and it has proven quite useful.

I have both sets Hinterlands and Hinterlands Forest (TLX) and some of the trees are slightly different size between the two which is nice as it offers some variation in a forest. I need to get more tiles done, but I have a good start on a forest started.

I normally make the tiles as simple tiles without all the fancy tab stuff. Just glue the square tile itself onto foamboard and cut out. The exception is if I want to do something elevated, like docks. Then I have to use the tabs, or resort to toothpicks.

I'm not a fan of the surface tabs in the TLX system but all of the tile connection system is very cool. Purchasing this.......now.
