As I hope any controversy is all behind us now (I see kiladecus original post as a call for more dressed minis, and not for less undressed minis, and I agree. We must have more options for female minis, that are already so rare.), I must ask about the work that revgunn choose not to post here.
I think it should be posted.

Thanks. Really. I'm learning as fast as I can, so I hope they'll improve.
The ones I haven't posted are... lets say NSFW.

The first half of the next bunch. Thanks to Hackbarth, I've discovered the wonders of GIMP. I MIGHT have gone a lil nuts with gradients... I'd like some opinions on these. I'm a little concerned they're too detailed, and might be too dark for the tabletop. So they're either a new personal best or a total disaster. GIMP is way faster. Thanks again Hackbarth, and to Tommygun for the translation tips. That's why I like this forum. dl.dropbox.com/u/13307512/bandidos%26law1.png

Very nice. I need to learn to do gradients more, I spend way too much time manually drawing things in.

It's amazing. You took my pedestrian tips at coloring and delivered some minis that I would take some years trying to make. Those are fantastic.
Between your minis, Fat Dragon's Rio Draco and Ghost Girl's minis, you are forcing me to find a group to play a western RPG.

Thanks guys. I'm feelin pretty jazzed about it.
Tommy, you gotta use em. They look best on mechanical/manufactured things.
Depending on where you start the fill, you get awesome shadows and effects. On the skin I just used regular color block shading without the black lines.
You say pedestrian, but it was like you just handed me the key. It all made sense after I read your blog post. Saved me several days experimenting, to say the least.
Kiladecus, thanks. I hope you find the Lady a bit more usable.
Someone said there's a shortage of female mini's so I try to include at least one with every bunch. At least until I run out of ideas...

These are excellent. For the Mexicans, I would tone down the contrast between the main color and the wrinkles. I find that the wrinkles as they are look like too much like urban cammo fabric.

Well, I'm kind of in the middle of another project at the moment. I've been using Billiam's Inked Adventures stuff for some dungeon crawls. Its awesome stuff. Not all complicated to build like WorldWorks, but has enough 3d impression to it that works as well. Its the best of the Tiles type stuff I think. Gotta get Outrider played as well. Damn all this RL stuff.... But, here's what I was working on last. Its just outlines, y'all can paint em if anyone wants to, til I get them finished.. one of these days dl.dropbox.com/u/13307512/bandidos1.png

i really like the "character" in your characters..... they have real action and personalities. *edit* and omg i just read all of this thread. I missed out on all the fun it seems. I can't help but throw in my 2 cents now. As a female gamer (that has nipples btw ) I have never been bothered by the chainmail bikini and the giant breasts that you see people complain about from time to time. I really believe the women (and some guys) that it bothers are in the minority. I can understand some people want historical realism in their games and that is cool. Me personally, i would rather my character look like Sharon Stone in The Quick and the Dead than Calamity Jane (google her picture if you are brave) short version: I'm Pro-Nipples!

The link just worked for me as well. The PNG's of all of em should be linked as well... I think.
Wow, thanks Ghostgirl. That's high praise from you. Thanks Gilius. And, you're right. Both Calamity and Belle Starr were.... umm, less than photogenic. Not to mention Squirrel Tooth Kate. So yeah, I prefer "The Lady". I got a mini of her around here somewhere. The detail on her costume was HARD.

Well, I'll draw you up some nude hairy bandidos. Um, no... I won't either. Oh.. yeah, the saloon girls. I was trying an experiment with those drawings, I'll get back to ya. I've also been trying to compile a parts file of sorts, so I can create em a little faster. Its sad when you spend so much time trying to figure out a faster way, you could have just drawn them twice with a mark 1 pencil... Don't ya love high tech? As to paying, well I guess its all regarding what ya wanna do with her.... But, I didn't think Nik had intended to sell stuff drawn by us amateur types... Did he? I for one had no intention of charging anything for my stuff... If they couldn't be free, I'd have to remove em. At the moment, I'm over at www.cartographersguild.com/forum.php learning how to use the mighty GIMP to draw cool maps. Yeah, that's right... NAKED ones!

Other than Junior General, are there any other mini's forums?
This has been a fantastic forum, and Nick and Co. seem to be good folk, but I do understand that they bought this as a business decision. Let's just hope the forum can remain a bastion of creativity in support of the commercial venture.
And a home to Saloon Girls

I use the link feature or imbed picture feature. I can't turn attachments on. Or, lets say that if I can, I don't know about it.
So I've got all my files in a dropbox account, and then I use lower sized and lower resolution images for previews so it doesn't make the page too huge. Or I try to. A couple of times I've forgotten.
I'm looking forward to seeing your re-colors though. We've gotta find a way for you to upload these. Any idea from you site gurus?
