Cheers for that. It must have been on a different site that i saw a set of The War of the World miniatures. Maybe someone on here could produce a set?
Cheers

The designer goes by "Nobody". That is one of his pictures, I have not had the time to make one yet. He does really nice work.

I made a few of Nobody's robots, about 20 of the regular walking robots. about 8 of the ripper bots 2 spider bots with a tail addition. Yes they took awhile to make especially the ripper bots (from memory 2-3 hrs each, all hand cut). the army is still not finished 15 months later although I did shrink them a little which added fiddlyness, I want to convert them all to GSD, recolour and start again but haven't had the time...story of everyone's life If your curious I'll dig them out and take some pic's they shouldn't be to damaged.

I would be curious to see how they look next to 28mm minis.

I scaled mine to 28mm these guys are about 30mm tall: A little bigger: More small Tank Size: Comparison, A D&D Plastic Hobgoblin on the end: I did mess around with the scale and shrunk them a little before building. getting these out makes me want to finish the army

They look good. That Mr rippy reminds me of the robot from Red Planet.

WOw sirrob your photos always inspires me to build something!!, Great minis and photos ! ;D Did you buy those bases or did you make it?

The bases are washers with card stuck top and bottom then painted in I think burnt orange with some sand to cover any defects. The ovals are 2 washers with some air dry clay wedged in the side gaps and then painted. The idea being they were configured/coloured for desert/mars warfare . Nobody's Robots are an excellent design and if you've got time they look stunning fielded in units, easily look as good as plastic/metal mini's.

These are incredibly cool. How did you go about creating them? Sketching then building, or building up from scraps?

Mel Ebbles (Chris Rowe) did a Martian tripod. I'm, not sure where the Ebbles models (now Genet Models) went, but you might try tracking them down.

"Note: We are still in the process of updating products and moving them to Wargame Vault. Once the catalog transfer has completed, the old shop will be closed permanently." While most of Ebbles' stuff is still on his homepage, it's a good idea to bookmark his Wargame Vault publisher's page, or RPGNow if you prefer. So far only four models, but who knows how long this thread will be consulted
