Hya folks. I do a lot of writing which are mainly fantasy or historical short stories depicting skirmishes or battles etc and i really wanted to go commercial with them on RPGNOW. I sent them a couple of examples of my work and but they got back to me saying that i need a website before they can start selling my stuff. Well; i havent got a clue where to start when it comes to making a website so i just thought that perhaps you folks have some tips or at least a nudge down the right path.
cheers folks

Well, I wish you the best of luck, Tom... but I have NO idea either of where to begin... The most I have done was my Facebook page... Sorry... (Although I will be watching to find these things out myself).

Website creation can be as big or small a job as you want (and boy don't I know it!) Facebook is of course on the very light side of creating a website. You don't have much control over the look but it does make it easy to update. A better compromise in my opinion is a blog of some sort. There are many free ones ( Blogger, Wordpress, TypePad). Blogger is nice and easy especially if you already have a Google account. I've also heard good things about Squarespace but never tried it (and you need to pay for it). If you want to go more professional, then you'll need to hire/learn HTML and CSS. You'll also need to find someone to host (give you harddrive space on a server) your website. For example, Onemonk uses Godaddy. Really there are tons of ways to make an 'online presence' in this day and age. There are many places to find help too. A good place to start is W3Schools and Google.

Ah right, that you very much my friend. I think perhaps if i start off with something small and then work my way up to something a bit bigger. Alas i am but a poor student so a big website that i need to pay for is a little out of reach at the moment but a blog, on the other hand, should be great. If i perhaps put somekind of preveiw or something of the stories i write on the blog RPGNOW may be more willing to upload them. Hmm lets see
