Thought I'd put up a quick WIP of what I've been working on, since it's caused a bit of pain for Nik (Sorry). No massive changes, primarily recolors and the ability to turn the HE Laser Rifle on or off for each one, colors I've done: I've also re-scaled them to be more in-line to Sanity Studio's mini hieght. I've got a few more tests cuts and prints to go but hopefully I'll get them across to Nik soon and then I'll start on the Support Weapon guys next (after the hoards ). Thoughts welcome and if anyone's busting for another colour (lays bets on pink) or camo put it up as a suggestion:).

I think that the contour of the weapons should be more evident, to make it "separated" from the body (i think Labrat called this "line quality"?)
I don't remember if it was there in the original ones, but i don't like so much that hexagon at the end of the weapon.
I like a lot the "camo" colors. A "Martian" or some other "alien planet" camo could be nice. Even a full black could be nice, but i see how it is difficult to draw it and not loosing details.

Thoughts welcome and if anyone's busting for another colour (lays bets on pink) or camo put it up as a suggestion:). These are great Sirrobo. Two suggestion for colors: An all white winter camo and dark navy blue Police SWAT team colors.

Parduz: I see what you mean about trying to lift them out. I maybe slightly trapped as I'm trying to not mod the original coloring style to much. The HE laser gun is standard as drawn by Jim, I gather it's some form of radioisotope container/magazine. Martian camo should be easy-ish some form of red/orange pattern, alien planet how about a purple/green? Black's always horrible to do the dark gray is pretty dark on print out now and could pass as black. Reivaj: Thanks that's what I'm going to be using them for as well Tommygun: I'll try again on an all white and soft blue pattern my first version (not above) looked pretty terrible, Dark blue no problem Emergencyoverride and Squirmydad: Thanks both hopefully I can get these finished up and then attached to the official set through Nik as a free fan addition. Colours to add: Martian Camo Alien Camo Dark Blue Police (I'll try and come close to Ebbles Blue) Snow White Camo That should give a nice even 14 color options

Snow & Ice and Martian look okay, the other two I'll need to work on a little more, Police seems to dark and alien maybe the wrong shades of purple and a little dark. Hopefully there on the right track

Great. These guys could be the perfect candidates to a flash or java app where you pick 3/4 colors and you get a a brand new squad -edit- May i suggest to recolor some skin also, to have a multiethnic squad (i'm thinking at the various "famous squads" of Aliens, Starship Troopers and so on)?

Thanks Labrat Parduz and Verminking good point, I'll try and do a Light, Mid, Dark skin tone as an optional overlay. Jim already included those three skin tones so I'll try and match them. I'm prepping for another gaming weekend so these guys go on hold for a few days, sorry

I'm a bit lost, so sorry for the maybe dumb questions: 1) Are these one to purchase or free on the forum? 2) Am i able to print a page of only ONE camo option? 3) Do that green grenade glow in the dark? Great job!...they just lack some women

Very nice! I've started playing FUBAR and thus I'm looking for modern armies. I had some Terraforce troopers from a Guncrawl bundle and recently got Slick's Minis NCC bundle. So many new color options will make it easy to build distinct armies or units.

Thanks All, Parduz I'm going to pass them across to Nik to attach to the pay set as an exstnsive free additional fan mod. If I just upload them as is here there is a fairly big possibility they could affect sales of the base product. I don't want them to potentially eat into sales of the purchase set, there's a small enough margin already on paper mini's and I'd like to see Nik and Labrat around for the long haul It's setup as a layered PDF, so you can select which type of camo layer colour you'd like on by turning the relevant layer on. At the moment it's page based. Do you want me to split it into Top/Bottom row so you could print out the top row as Alien Camo and the bottom row as Police blue for example? I have the skin tones and HE weapon setup in this way. It would increase the layer options to about 40 its at around 20 layers at the moment. But if it's more useful to people that way It's only a little work to split the Top and Bottom colour schemes up. Going to go do a page of test Builds

...there's a small enough margin already on paper mini's and I'd like to see Nik and Labrat around for the long haul Nothing against this I was just asking 'cause i've not understood when Nik "rules" become "active". ...It would increase the layer options to about 40... It will be nice, but i see too much hassle, for you that have to do it and for the user that have to seek thru 40 layers. I'm pretty fine if i can have a page of the same faction. Your picture was suggesting a "rainbow" squad per page ;D

Wow! I might have to get some SciFi rules now. I'm currently translating and tying together Legions of Steel ruleset (i own a portoguese box and some BGG user kindly sent me english scans). They're not free, but the game is long OOP and, while reading them -still have to play the game- i think they are the best "firefighting in a hulk" ruleset i've seen. Melee combat is pretty rare and mostly futile, while firing covers a lot of fire modes, tactical choices and have a lot of optional tiny details. You can easy strip out the theme and use your own setting. From what i'm reading, i reccomend to find a copy of the game or of the ruleset.

I've been playing defiance vital ground but lately I've started to notice some what appear to be flaws in the ruleset. However Might just be me, I quiet like the moral and initiative cycle in the game, and the base rules are free and their are 4 free armies you can download to try the game with. I'm going to be giving no limits another crack soon though, to see if I spot the same kinds of limitations in that ruleset. Finished up the last test of the last GSD file (needed to test 4 different GSDs). last picy: I'll throw the unit at Nik and hopefully he'll make it available in the near future . edit: I forgot to mention these guys are in Sanity Scale or very very close.
