Today i brought the kid to a boardgame/miniature exposition (is "Con" the right word?). This expo was not really an expo, but was more towards PLAYING the games, so the majority of the available space was tables, while all game and miniature sellers was only around the walls, with the "colored shirts" helping the players. Other than "stealing" a couple of free lessons about how to paint minis (i need to paint a lot of them to play SoBH, as cutting the lot of paper miniatures i'll need is beyond my available time) we found an empty seat at the Blood Bowl table, and a nice and very well trained guy (he remembered the tables by memory) helped us wuth the basics. Me and my son played some match with the PC version of Blood Bowl, but it hides a lot of rules and rolls, so we really learnt the game today.
Now the kid WANT a Blood Bowl boardgame. I can't afford to buy (and paint) all that minis, so i'm officially asking for help: anyone who will like to build a couple of BB teams in paper, of the same quality of OneMonk and Bellicose miniatures, will have our eternal gratitude. I've found some images of the miniatures in "standup" layout, but they're really ugly as paper minis. I know someone started an undead team by modding Jim's figures, but i'll need the opponents..... Our preferred teams will be orcs and elfs, but really we will drool for any complete couple of teams to play with.
I may even sort out a maximum of $30 for 2 complete teams (sorry for being so cheap, things in Italy are not going too well).
Anyone will like to jump on this boat?

I started doing a ratkin blood sport player after a suggestion from Cobra -- please check the "army of ratkin" thread on the member exclusive fan art section. I still have to add shading and make more variations of the figure, and certainly it's not up to OneMonk or Bellicose quality but it may still be useful. I'll post future results on a separate thread on that same section.
