Well, I hope that youear infection gets better. I will begin coloring mine tomorrow... but I will be using magic markers! (This would be a good time to remind you to read my signature at the bottom of this post)! I just got them downloaded and am excited about playing them this weekend!

Adam this is some really good line work you have done here! There are enough pieces that I will only need to create a few extras to be able to make sniper drones as well. I think I already did the sniper gun. I was working on it before I got distracted. I'll see if I can dig it up

I'm not anywhere near done. But I thought I would show you what I have done so far. I'm using the Tau D'yanoi Sept colours (which happens to be the sept for my Tau) I must admit this has been a bit different for me as I normally texture buildings not vehicles or figures. I'm hoping to add a damaged layer to the final pdf.

You're happy to take suggestions, HP? I have one for you... I suggest you pat yourself on the back! This looks AMAZING! Don't worry about the battle damage... that will happen after these have seen a few games! (That last part was a joke, in case you didn't notice... )

Thanks. I'm trying to design a paper flight stand that looks like air blasts coming down. A lot harder than I thought it was going to be.

Here is some quick and dirty pictures I took with my iPhone So if no one objects to the texture style I will start on the next page. All I have to do is do a find and replace on the colours to make different schemes. Thanks again Adam for an amazing model!

So give me your colour choices ;D ;D
Body Colour - Trim Colour- Markings -

Dark charcoal gray body with yellow trim? Slightly distressed textures. I say charcoal gray, because using a black body with black detail lines doesn't work well. As far as markings go, something simple like B-1, A-2 etc in yellow.

Well, I had an idea on flight bases.... I can hear HP saying, "NO! Not that SAME picture of the UD-41 on an inverted plastic cup AGAIN!" Sorry, it's all I have! Actually I had a different idea, still with the plastic cups. The top of the drone goes on the bottom of the inverted cup, and the body is mounted on the inside... I can't post from my phone on here, but I can on my thread... I will post it there and you can go over there and tell me what a ridiculous idea it is...

Looks great !!
I always get hung up when it comes to coloring a model.
The flight stand looks great too.
Looks like I'll just have to start posting black and white models more often.

M.A.D. Pacifier I have to downsize some of the parts like the side fin things are slightly large. Do you think the Sniper Gun is too large?

You did a great job on the sniper drone. If you used my art as it was, you could probably scale it down say to 75%. I never finished working on my sniper drone, so the scale never really occured to me until now. EDIT: I updated the pic, but you mihgt have to reload to get the fresh image from photobucket

Wow Adam these look amazing! I cant believe I missed your thread on the M.A.D. Drones. Still they look really well done, these are awesome!
Also I love the colors going on highlandpiper, you definitly will have to make those avaliable soon, maybe with some other varients that Adam had in mind, lol. Also did you end up doing color for the arm or shield varient? They look really good! ;D
Also hows are the other varient ideas comming? This would make a great release, definitly checking in on this one often! ;D

M.A.D. Pacifier I have to downsize some of the parts like the side fin things are slightly large. Do you think the Sniper Gun is too large? Actually from looking at the pics I'd say the scaling looks good. The slightly bigger fins gives the sniper drone a more fearsome appearance. Also bigger side fins would deflect bullets easier, if thats there purpose that is, lol. As for the gun, I like the size, I think it shows its a sniper that packs a punch and is a force to be reckoned with. I think the slightly bigger fins also help to off set the gun too in my opinion. Still it looks awesome! ;D

Not to bump a thread but was just wandering if the M.A.D. drones have had anymore work done or if they ended up encountering a problem and went back to the drawing board? Also what was left to do on them so far?

Yes I will colour each drone, it's just a matter of find and replace colour. I also added a new arm to the drone. So now it comes with either a claw or a saw blade!
