Dark Age Of Adventure Set One: Vikings gives you twelve original Dark Ages/ Early Medieval themed miniature figures perfect for roleplaying games or wargames. All files are 300dpi and include front and back views. This is a layered PDF giving you three options of colour schemes, three weapon options (also unarmed) and a shield/no shield option. There are 288 possible miniature combinations in this set! That will fill a table FAST! It's a Viking Invasion! Cardstock Miniatures are an affordable and attractive alternative to metal or plastic miniatures. Just bought 'em, and looked over the layers. I love 'em, and want to see sets for ALL my favorite historical periods!
I love the mix of figures, with one berserker and one warlord in heavier armor. Much more historical than any Games Workshop nonsense.
I think I will make a warband who are mostly armed with spears, with a few, probably the berserkers, armed with axes, and the warlord armed with a sword. Swords were very special.
When I was running my Perilous Encounters campaign about 15 years ago, I had a Viking character called Narli Uffdahson. He had sailed his ship off the edge of the earth to the west and returned. He told tales of going to a strange place called Chipango, and in his crew, Narli had a strange foreigner who was actually a Samurai archer.
I might just reconstitute Narli Uffdahson and his crew!
Have fun! Steve

Amazing work, Okumarts.
11 great figures. 3 color variants. 33 figures. Swords, axe and lance. 99 figures. With shield and without shield. 188 figures. Unarmed ( like viking villagers ), another 99 figures. Grand total: 287 minis.
I can't believe it.
Thanks.

Hmm, that's odd you didn't get the email. Yes, I uploaded the new file just before I posted a couple of days ago. Sorry for the confusion. The many MANY choices and modularity of the set was a bit confusing for me it seems. I'm going to se if I can simplify the process next time.

I've been picking up your sets as they've been released, but I've been sort of away from the forum and haven't commented...
All of your releases are phenomenal. You are definitely hitting all the right notes for paper minis. From what I've seen so far you can put me down for a copy of any of your future releases.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much! That means a lot to me! I am really enjoying just making these things. I think I'd probably be doing this anyway, but I'm glad I can share them. I am trying to challenge and push myself with each set. I'm learning tons each time.

So Jeff Montgomery, from rpgnow, explain me that I had sending e-mails from publishers blocked by setting. Jeff gave me new downloads for your file, too. Thanks.

Well... it looks like the first raid Narli Uffdahssen and his crew make in about 15 years is going to be on an orc encampment!
Have fun! Steve

The Viking Ship photo brought a real big smile to my face. Way to go! In the meantime I've pitted some Vikings against my Pig Orcs. It didn't go so well for the Vikings. As you can see, the Vikings didn't make it past the first line of defense.

Sweet carnage. Did you actually play through this, and if so what system did you use?

I love the Dark Age line. When you flush it out more you should go back and add Mythology of Dark Age or something like that!

HP: I have something called The DARKER Age Of Adventure that will be released with this line. I have the first set already drawn. DCB: It's my homebrew skirmish system that is NEARLY ready for a beta/playtest release.
