Hi all, I'm not a frequent poster so probably not many of you know me. But, I was wondering if there are any other 3D artists here. Since I've recently graduated from university, I'm beginning to work hard to break into the CG gaming or animation industry. It's stressful since it's such a competitive area. I started a blog today in an attempt to document my 3D pieces as I work towards finding a career, and I thought some of you might find it interesting so I would love to share it with you: chelseavantol.blogspot.com/Any criticisms, career finding advice, comments would be very welcome! Thanks everyone

nice--I have to say, zBrush scares me (my DIL uses it, but then, like you, she's a real artist).

ZBrush is so much fun once you get into it. You should see the new feature called Dynamesh they have in the version coming out on the 20th - Z4R2 www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=160240Just amazing- it's like working with an actual ball of clay now, without having to focus on having even topology, you can just freeform model your whole day away

I spent several decades sculpting original figures in epoxy and selling them to the miniatures companies, who made vulcanized rubber molds from the originals, cast the figures up in white metal, and marketed the copies.
A few years ago, I explored the possibilities available then for digital sculpting, and came to the realization that my neuron pathways aren't up to the task. They were set in the days of slide rules, manual typewriters and Gestetner spirit copiers.
Those things being said, I love looking at what you are doing, and I marvel at yor skill. I wish I knew more about how to market your things, but the world has changed so much that I no longer know how to market mine.
I like your work. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you find a career doing this that is just as rewarding to you as mine was to me!
Have fun! Steve
