If you could please let me know what they were called in the movie, that would be great. I was going to go a different way with this, but I saw the images of this on-line tonight and decided to go with this instead. I don't use fancy drawing programs or things that allow me to "unfold" an image. Instead, I get an idea and build it. I drew the propellers up today on my lunch-break. I plan to have the fuselage laid out tomorrow night, and maybe have a model done by Wednesday (at the latest). The tail will be the only concern I have at the moment. I am thinking about calling it the ANGEL 2. Any thoughts? Attachments:

Here is everything but the tail. This part eludes me. I don't want a long square tail. It would be nice to have some sleak tapering to it. I want it to be easy to build, yet look nice. Hmmm... I just had an idea. It may not be perfect, but it is something I can pull off pretty easily. Too bad there aren't any Olive Drab tiles in Shuffler... unless... hmmm. Oh well, it will look good in light grey. I may go the opposite way. Instead of Dark Grey with black grit, making an almost camouflaged look, I can do it like grey with the smoky tiles overlaid (like I did on my SYNFED hover sled) to give it a light camo look. I will see if I have a picture of it here in my phone to give an idea of the look I am thinking about. Attachments:

Don't remember what they're called in the movie, but here's a site with lots of nice pics of a Dragonfly ducted fan craft; www.trekaero.com/Dragonfly/edit-> Just found it, they are called Scorpions in the film.

I love the design. Didn't the mythbusters guys try to build this once?

Thanks, Squirmydad! Not only for getting me that info, but for not saying, "What movie?" (I never saw it... just recently say a pick of this thing and said, "I gotta build one.") I was going to do one of the hover things that the bad guys in the Incredibles fly... you know the ones that chase Dash into the cavern... well, I was reminded of this last night and I decided to change my plan. I am not sure I can do this justice. I can post the few pieces I was able to come up with thus far... Actually, I tried to do some screen shots, and the file was too big. oK, I guess I will post pictures of it as I build it.

It's a terrific model and I am amazed at the skill that goes into designing and making it, but is it practical to game with this type of model. It just looks too fragile to pick up and move. I wish I could trust myself to attempt this sort of thing and achieve a reasonable conclusion.
