Seats a sitter, so a little bending and folding of the retro aliens required. If you just want to stand something in there I'd leave the seat out completely and it should fit (depending on your basing method), I'll check later which basing types fit best. Metal mini's a quick debasing and bending of the legs and waist. Plastic snap/cut and re-glue

That's what I figured. Thanks for the clarification. I won't be using the clear dome... no patience or tolerence for that... I will use the "convertable" technique! (Unless I ge something from a vending machine that fits... or my wife buys pantyhose in a clear egg. Ok... once I finish my Cier Warriors, I will move onto a pilot. he will have a helmet that allows him to breath in zero-atmosphere... or better yet, the mothership will transport them down into atmosphere... yeah, that will work!

I kept the clear plastic dome from my kids hex-bug spider birthday present. I hope it fits, but I suspect it is too big.

Hex canopy is about 1/32 of an inch under 1.5 inchs from point to point across the canopy.
It's really not to bad to build, probably looks scarier than it is. I'm actually working a 2nd canopy design that needs less scoring and folding but retains the hex base interface..might not work.
Instructions are nearly done, Just have two minor corrections to make to the model a final test build and a gsd/studio file to make.

I plan on doing the one that is already up for review on Saturday, during a papercrafting session at a friend's house. His son is going to love it.
PS ... he really likes your dune buggy. His is blue with a racing theme number on it, but still has weaponry...

Vermin King - If you do use the upload from the other day, the three bugs I've spotted are: Lasers - circles for the end of the tube are to small and the tubes themselves rollup a little big. Control panel - missing texture on rear side little triangles Chair - missing black chair padding from top edge of two sides Build the UFO from the inside out and insert the internal liner from the underside of body disk upwards, topside downwards is a complete pain to wiggle in. Glad he likes the dunebuggy Kiladecus - No test builder needed yet, but I am on target to be finished saturday or sunday. Dragnoz - Awesome movie preview, Okumarts - trying to make it not look to out of place with your Retro Aliens, then my terraforce troopers will have to watch out

Not to sure when I'll get Mk 2 finished as I'm a little UFOed out at the moment and I'd like to complete the AMP suit but I need to go back redesign some parts.
I forgot to mention if anyone needs a flight stand the one I made up for the dragonfly works well.
I'd love to see a pic if anyone does build a UFO or 2 I plan on building 3-4 although now I'm having problems picking a colour scheme, to many options ;D

dang it, we didn't get to the UFO Saturday. Were working on Squirmydad's vehicles, and after spending an hour uncrushing Isaiah's older models, decided to build formers for the SD vehicles by trial and error. They remind me of the dividers in boxes of christmas ornaments, two lengthwise and three going across. glued in, so they should last a while.
I really like the new dome. Sorry I wasn't able to do a build report on the ufo.
