Thanks for the advice!! Im not normally a "figure maker" im more of a model designer. This is the first time I actually set out to create one, the others were drawings and concepts I have done for online videos and games that I just popped onto a base. Ah yes I do actually have a back for her... have a look.. flattened out the feet.. but erm im not sure what "THO" is?

Not sure about THO, either.
Great figure. Flattening out the feet helps. On this figure, having the legs together works, but posing the legs generally gives more 'life' to the figure. Having the sword crossing in front of the body is very good for cutting.
Some of the detail may be lost in the final figure, but the texturing should be able to overcome that.

Might be my printer, but a little more brightness on the sword would help it stand out, I think. Not sure about the mask, but at arm's length it is hard to make out what is going on there. Maybe if it were darker. Not sure.
I was afraid the 'lace' and hoses would be lost details, but they came out fine. A very fine figure.

LOL ok... never realised there was a term for it.. OK took everyone's fantastic feedback on board and made some small changes to the model. I have also thrown in a few different dress colours. I still think red works the best. I really appreciate everyone's feedback, It really helps to be able to tap into experience pool, This is the first paper figure i have designed with the purpose of designing a figure. I have a male one in the works as well.. will upload soon Attachments:

Very nice figure. I concour that the sword needs to be more evident. I'd enlarge his black line to the same level of the miniature edges. What's that thing on the back side, over the toe?

Very nice figure. I agree that the red is best. The mask is much better, but I think Parduz is right on the sword. It is more visible, but could use a little more to set it off.
I hadn't noticed the object over the heel until it was pointed out.
I'd like to see additional poses also

I realised I was putting more and more time into these figures and wanted to take a quick stop to see what they will actually look like printed out to scale. I suspected i might loose some details but to my surprise I didnt ;D you will also see an unfinished version of the shock trooper (thanks kiladecus for the advice on the trooper ) Also on the final stretch of the Spider Crawler, should be ready to build this week :-D Attachments:

Thanks Reivaj... I like dark muted colours and it tends to show in my work.
For now the QR code is just linking to miniature-games.com but im planning on having it link to either video instructions or photo follow along instructions.. ive not totally decided what im wanting to do.

Holy Mother of Pearl! I like these a lot. Shock troopers and SS make a good comparison. Like Mel Ebbles used to say, when we design something, even if it is in the future, the consumer/user needs to recognize it for what it is. The helmet and cape REALLY do that.
Good job
PS ... I'd still like to see the gal doing a stabbing lunge ...

NOt quite a stabbing lunge Vermin, but i'll get there in time have to many ideas running through my head and my time doesnt allow me to elaborate on them all :-( Im hoping to have a basic set of 6 "Mortiarty shock Troopers" done to be released with the spider crawler... and then over the festive season work on "Son's of Holmes" .... That definitely works.
Sons of Moriarity ... that rings pretty well. Fits into the Victorian Steampunk theme very well. I like it.

hmmm "Sons of Holmes"... it might be "sons of liberty" that makes it sound familiar? I have a nice back story here i think ;-) and some interesting ideas which ill elaborate on later... some more very crude drawn shock trooper ideas... Attachments:

wow thanks everyone for the feedback and encouragement! it really really helps a lot... Please keep the suggestions coming, im amending the figures as we go along.
I must say i am liking the world war one helmets more as well as the gas masks. I'm going to rework some of the heads and faces...
Is there any other poses you guys think will be cool to do for this set?
I want to bring in an officer or "named" figure as well.

"Faceless Mooks" are always useful. You can just keep using them over and over... just like they do in the Movies. The Officer is what I'm looking forward to seeing.
