Ah. Makes sense. I believe you are right on the curve on the skirt. Looks more natural. Thanks

Added a new one to the collection. Do the eyes on the bottom four look all stare-y?

Do the eyes on the bottom four look all stare-y? To me, yes, all but Lillian. They're too much "sharp" compared to the general "blur" of each figure. Doc and Juliet also needs a better eye shape.

Other than Lillian, the three on the bottom have too much white directly below the pupils, cornea, whatever. I have to agree that Juliette has too round eyes with too much white showing, like she just saw Coronado's ghost or something.
On the two guys, I think a simple redraw of the lower outline of the eyes could fix it.

Well, I just can't resist it when someone says there is an easy fix. So I went in and gave them all more colour in the eyes at the expense of the whites and then I toned the whites down a bit and put a dark line underneath them all. All of that didn't help Juliet's right eye so I did the copie and flip trick from her left and then modded that some more. If I'm stepping on your toes Rev, just let me know and I'll take them down. I love to mod but I could never draw anything as cool as these from scratch. HiredGunSemiFinal by cowboyleland, on Flickr

I can't speak for Rev, but if someone did something to improve my figures, I wouldn't complain.
Actually, Rev did that with my Psi-Borgs, and I didn't have a problem with it.
Besides, his work is INCREDIBLE, and all you did was "fix" an issue or two.

Yeah, Rev has always been cool, I just think it is good to check in every now and then to make sure people don't feel like my dabbles are polluting there process. In theatre the actors and directors are working together all the time, designers and playwrights like to work it out on their own.

Thanks a lot for the kind words Kiladecus. Your support is invaluable man. I would say anyone who can make those fold over 2.5d figures that you make would have no trouble with flats like these Cowboy. I appreciate the tweaks, mods and fixes you've done. I'll credit you and Parduz on the PDF. What's happening is, I'm trying to increase my production to see what my limits are speed wise. Little stuff like this is getting through as I'm doing these. I'm trying to go too fast. But now I'm spoiled. I know I can post these and you guys will spot any problems, and in many cases just fix them. Win for me! Next, I need to compile all these into a single PDF with some basic instructions, and I have a couple of Logo's I'm working on. I have no way to make a PDF of these. Suggestions?

I find primo works great. It is free and sets itself up like a printer. You just click "print" and select "primo" as the printer and "voila" pdf.
The thing about the 2.5 figs is you draw them as flat plans and let the folding give them shape. The illusion of depth you guys get in two dimensions with just high lights and shading is what escapes me.

Eh, cant afford Acrobat... Y'all ever see "3:10 to Yuma"? The new one. I got a DVD of it for Christmas. I watched it again. I love that movie. dl.dropbox.com/u/13307512/CharliePrince30mm.pngI'm trying to get a "set" of ten finished up. Maybe tomorrow night?

It is indeed possible that I've drawn his pistols too large, yes. All of my previous figures with pistols are carrying Colts. (Except for one, which has two pistol grip, sawed off 12 gauge shotguns....) These are Smith and Wesson "Scofield" revolvers. It was a heavier framed revolver than the Colt of the same caliber. I don't think its as much larger as I've drawn it here though. I created a brush in GIMP, which has the hand and the pistol, both Colt and S&W. I find them a bit tedious to draw over and over, so I've got a back hand and fore hand version of each. I suppose I can re-draw all four brushes if the size bothers people a whole lot. The older 3:10 to Yuma is a good movie. It had Glenn Ford in it, if I recall correctly. Its not as good I don't think, but still worth watching. But, you are correct "Eagle Eye"Parduz. They are over sized.

Well, who ever said that you had to have TEN in set? There is no industry standard. A set could easily be only 8! Right? And, please excuse my ignorance, but if you put "Lottie" in there, isn't she the 10th? Make sure you put in the "actual" figure not the one that CBL "cleaned up" for me. That takes away from her character. As far as the guns being too large, that just makes the guy a meaner hombre! I have got to give you credit, Rev, I pop on here and you deliver MORE amazing work! "Thar's gold in that thar forum! Gold by the name a' RevGunn!"

I think Parduz was correct, though. My first thought was that this guy is a bit shorter than the others, which must have been my brain using the guns as the point of reference. There was a lot of difference in the size of weapons, but for those not familiar with them, pistols are roughly the same size. My grandfather had an old pistol that mysteriously disappeared at his death that was a monster like that. My great grandfather's chrome 38 (He took it up San Juan hill with the Rough Riders) actually seems a bit dainty for being a 38. I don't know how much trouble it would be to rescale these, but it would help. On the other hand, everything else is super spectacular. The shading on the double-breasted shirt (I'm sure there is a name for those) is excellent. Outstanding figure.

It does through things off. At first I thought maybe his arms were too long. Don't know how a big gun would create that impression. Maybe it was more the big hands.

Don't rescale the guns.
Miniature perspective puts more emphasis in the guns, hands and heads. The effect is to make the figure more easily recognizable.

Okay, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping this worked... I hope the scale came out right. I made it with cutepdf that squirmydad recommended. dl.dropbox.com/u/13307512/Brimstone%20Set1.pdfI did mess up though, I misspelled the name. Its Schofield. Colt really screwed S&W on this pistol. Colt cartridges were longer, so a Colt could chamber S&W ammunition, but not the other way around. S&W also had a contract to supply the Russian Army. That pretty much saved the arms company. The S&W actually had less recoil than the Colt because of the heavier frame. I did pull a GW in a way, because I wanted the weapon to be highly visible. In my game, the Schofield reloads marginally faster, since it broke over instead of having a loading gate like the Colt 1873. The "Yellow-boy" Henry rifle that Charlie row has was pretty different than the Winchester 1873 that Juliet carries too. Jesse James, John Wesley Hardin, and Billy the Kid were also historical S&W shooters. I added Charlie Prince to the PDF, and up next to the other guys, his revolvers look like a little guy with big guns. Which is that character exactly. He's also a sociopath, and possibly has a gay obsession with the main antagonist, Ben Wade. I dunno, the subtext escapes me. In any case, I don't know much about Orcs, or Dwarfs, or Elves, or Wizards, but I know my Western History. Its pretty much the thing I care most about. Also, I had to redraw the eyes on the bottom row myself. I dunno why, but the JPG I downloaded from Cowboy's flickr was all strange... the resolution was way way low. Pixelated blur, bad. I'm sure I screwed up somewhere, and got the wrong file. So it only took what? 3 weeks to get that set made? I gotta pick things up. Rhannon.. I agree, Parduz is fussy. I like him that way. He has the most amazing eye. I was hoping to see his mods and re-color of that first gunfighter figure. Between all you guys, I have to thank y'all for the quality control.
