The last couple of days I've been creating full-sheet ground textures. I'm trying to be more organized about this sort of thing, so this is primarily for my benefit. These will also be for general release when I have enough of them. And for the first time, snow!

Great idea, Dave! In particular, snowy versions of various types of ground tiles will be a great addition to the terrain market.

Oh God, I absolutely NEED them!
They not only look gorgeous but also seem to be a perfect fit for my 1-48 Combat games set in Stalingrad (snow terrain + ruined buildings) and Dust Tactics games set in Crete (that nice cobblestone work with some grass and the excellent mediterranean styled buildings).

Nice. I don't know if this is part of what you are working on, but something I've been looking for lately is more rural ground tiles. For my samurai gaming a cobblestone street doesn't work most of the time so grasslands with cart tracks (without grids) are the tiles I've been looking for. FDG has some but I'm always looking for more variety in the world.

Yeah, I'm planning to collect and expand my rural textures too.

You still need water. You have boats, but no streams, rivers, lakes, or ponds.

Will these be seamless if tiled? I've found a company that will print A0 relatively cheaply

You still need water. You have boats, but no streams, rivers, lakes, or ponds. That's still on my wish list, and not part of what I'm working on at the moment. Will these be seamless if tiled? Only as seamless as my other tile sets. If you want to expand these to fill up an A0 sheet, you'll have to do some work yourself. But I'll be releasing the PSD Photoshop files so you can do exactly that.

When you do get to this, Dave, I'd love to see you contribute something new to the market. I think your contribution could be in what you do best, excellent textures and colors in optional layers. I'd like to see water done with several different surfaces: ocean swells, choppy waves, wind disturbed surface, etc. I'd also like to see different colors: dark green, tropical blue, deep blue, sewage brown, etc. Another good water texture contribution would be sandy and rocky beaches, with waves crashing on the shore. My 2 cents.

I'm kinda late to this thread, but has anything come of this? Is this ground set available?
