So I figured I'd start my own thread here, since I kinda hijacked scarecrow's Star Trek thread. I'm a huge Trekkie and have been playing a lot of Heroscape lately. I've wanted some Trek minis and was thrilled to find... Okumarts' "Where No Man..." thread: cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=okumarts&action=display&thread=1873& Scarecrow's "Star Trek" thread: cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=scarecrow&action=display&thread=2833I've always loved the Gorn and thought they were under used. In my version of TOS, they're religious fanatics. The Gorn are a dying race, genetically spent, and on the verge of extinction. Faced with that, only religious radicals seemed to have the answers. (Think of them as radical Islamists.) Only their tech has kept them alive this long. Their main reason for attacking Cestus 3 was a prophecy of a new home world. So my first 2 submissions to the board are hot Gorn babes! Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Excellent work Cue inevitable long winded discussion about: a) No bare bobb b) Reptiles don't have bobb TO answer in advance: those aren't bobb, that's just your dirty minds making stuff up, the fact that a bipedal reptile would evolve something that looks just like our pectoral muscles is purely a result of concordant evolution. They throw spears and use bows, so they have big chest muscles. Just like Arnie, he's got a lovely pair of sweater puppies but he's a bloke. Merry Christmas Great minis, keep it up

The Gorn breast question is already alive and well on Scarecrow's thread (that's the hijack I'm guilty of). C'mon guys, it's just Trek.
And her chest is covered... mostly.

Let both sides win... not bare bobb 'cos they aren't bobb The discussion will happen anyway, I was just making light of it. It pops up about every six weeks in some form or other It's things like this that keep traffic on the site high! It's all good. Seriously, I think they cover both camps pretty well, they suggest a female form without being too human. So everyone can be happy. Clever art work

Awesome work. I have been avoiding the Gorn in my game. Might be time to bring them in.

I LOVE these. It keeps with the Trek feel, and allows you some poetic license to give some more "story" behind the Gorn. I can't wait to see what else you release to go with these.

(What the heck... No attachments?) Well, this idea's been in my head for a while. I love Lackadaisy. lackadaisy.foxprints.com/index.phpSo why not an Lackadaisy Caitian? (Rats, he needs rank... have to fix that later.) By baxart at 2011-12-19

Thanks, cowboy!
Hmmm.... Well I tested it in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera, and IE. IE seems to be the only one it doesn't work in. Huh... And IE limits a lot of the boards features too. (Always knew IE was evil.)
Why I can't add attachments? Help?

I thought I posted already (I guess not) that this was the final straw and I switched to Chrome. I can now see your Cat-Kirk and he looks cute. Kind of WNMHGB meets Fur and Buttons.

If i can say (you know, i'm the Criticism Device here ), while i like a lot the drawing as a ....drawing, i have some doubt about it working as a miniature.... i mean, a side view could be much more "simple" to be seen and understood from the other side of the table. I think that this "strong perspective" can be lost on a small object like a miniature.... ----just my thoughts, anyway

Probably Parduz, but the idea of her wide-eyed behind the phaser just cracks me up. I was thinking of doing it as a 3 sided mini, adding 2 profiles with this as the front.

So, continuing my strange series of Trek mini possibilities... The crew needs someone to rescue, right? And besides, who can resist a little Green Orion Slave Girl action? Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Those Gorn figures are awesome. I've always been a fan of the Gorn and was personally disappointed that they didn't show up in more episodes of Star Trek. Are there going to be any more in this line?
Besides using them in Sci-Fi games the figures you made strike me as having an interesting Western Native American feel and I can see them getting used in fantasy or Sci-Fi westerns as well.

Thanks slayerdragonwing, I had to go take another look at my Gorns after you said that. Yeah, I guess. Are there going to be any more (Gorns) in this line? So what's on the horizon? I have a couple more ideas for Gorns, and a few Lacadaisy Caits. I'm thinking about a string of Orion slavers and slaves, and I want to do some Kzin. Yeah, I'm a huge Trekkie.

Congrats on your own board! I would remind you that only the BEST artists here have one, but I have one, too. Shoots that theory! Seriously, great stuff, and congrats, again!

- simple, expressive, comical style with VERY strong line-art. I like your stuff, Baxart. And I feel a slight affection for Orion Slave girls ... .

Thanks, Paladin! Just so everyone knows, I haven't fallen off the planet or anything. The Tues after Christmas I picked up a temp job working 12 hrs a day M-F with 2 Sats so far. Add that to driving pizza 3 nights a week, and I haven't much time for too much of anything else. According to what they said when they brought me in, I'm about 1/2 way through the assn... but seems it that more orders are rolling in.
