To make it easier to avoid, I have gathered all my crap..erm, stuff into one thread. I thought the gallery would be the best place as all I do is cobble together "Frankensteins" using other people's art work. It's not in any kind of order. For example this first piece is the most recent...a self-portrait.

The self-portrait and these "John Carpenter of Bazoom" minis were modded from original Discworld artwork by Paul Kidby ( www.paulkidby.com/) I have created Discworld Minis in the same style, but they are for my own use only and so will not be appearing here

Tardis interior and minis by Scarecrow... K9 came with the "Doctor Who Adventures" Magazine and has been shrunk (a lot), The hatstand is a scan of the one that comes with the commercially available Tenth Doctor's Tardis interior and has been shrunk down even more

As mentioned earlier, I made a set of Discworld figures based on artwork by Paul Kidby. I'm not comfortable sharing the majority of them as all I effectively did was create backs for characters already designed by Paul. These four, however, are a good 90-95% all my own work...

The Self-Portrait figure in my first post is intended to be a Time Traveler, a sort of cross between H.G.Wells' hero and Doctor Who. This is his Companion... She is based on the designs of Kato of Steampunk Couture ( www.steampunkcouture.com/)

... great modding, stunning dioramas ... and your own last minis are the most humorous designs I have seen for some time, honestly, sithcundman. Like a mix between Southpark and Mobile Gaming. I like the intricate details (buttons and such) - and the overall desaturated colors. Good choice, indeed.

Really great job with the transparencies. I can tell the pic really doesn't do them justice... perhaps with a different background?

@ Vermin King, Paladin & Dagger, Thank You for the kind words @ Dagger, I did try shooting the transparency experiments against other backgrounds but it only really worked for the leaping figure. For the others; against a plain background it was hard to tell they were transparent and against a busy background a lot of the detail was lost. I'll have another try next time I have my camera out.

;D ... a MORLOCK! No way ... I must have been about 3 years old when I watched the classic movie version of the Time Machine on the television of my grandparents. I must say, that this movie was the start of my journey into the phantastic worlds of imagination. The time traveling stop and fast motion tricks stunned me as a kid - they still do - and the Morlocks - I was hiding behind my pillow all the time - they had glowing eyes and were quite furry, if I remember them well. Time for a YouTube refresher, I think ... . As proof of my claims I scan one of my earliest drawings - right after watching the film - my grandmother saved with her scissors. Guess, what it shows ... . ;D

... I will, if I meet this little fellow. The older you get, the more he hides. But, could be, if you are getting really old, he shows himself more often ... . I just realize (watching YouTube), that I completely forgot the 'engine' parts and that my 'disk' seems to be turned over.

Ah ... thanks, Rhannon (I know, you are right now digging in the archives to present hidden gems to this community ... will have a look at your posts ... .) Ok, they're not too bad, but a bit pricey, aren't they?! I read the name of almighty Steve Lortz (of this forum) of 'Quactica' fame, still available through Skirmisher Games. I wonder, how much H.G. Wells is in Tolkien. Morlocks are fitting Orc descriptions quite well (also their affinity towards 'bad' technology). And: Morlock, Mordor ... .

This forum is my home-base for the hobby and my research on foreign forums is started from here. Because I am trying to complete my collection of the figures shown here. share what I was found during is a consequence. That I like. Yes: I think that they are a bit pricey, too. I have no preconceptions about figures' price but I think that a normal good set can cost from 3/4 US $ to 5. But in this case is just the kind of figures proposed by Skirmisher Publishing that don't convinced me.

Ah well, sharing information with others for nothing than enjoyment is quite altruistic, isn't it? At least, it's not misanthropic. So, thank you, Rhannon, for your long and commented link lists ... . There was a thread about pricing. I have to study this too, sooner or later ... .
