I downloaded 3 buildings: Coach House, Medieval Stone Chapel, and the Crescent Moon Tavern.
After selecting a layer and sending to print on my HP Deskjet D2460, I'm not getting what I want.
The result varies depending on the model file, i.e. Coach House, Medieval Stone Chapel, etc. It doesn't appear to matter what layers I select, the file seems to default to it's own selection.
I've downloaded the files twice, and reinstalled my print drivers but to no effect. I've also tried using Adobe Reader, and Foxit Reader with the same results.
Anyone have any ideas that might help?

Hi,
Have you tried to de-select the layers you do not want to print? That is the way I print multilayer pdfs.
Regards.

Thanks for the reply, franciskop. Took me a while to reply because I've just finished rebuilding my pc. I've also re-downloaded the pdf files. I'm now focusing on one file, which is the Coach House. After various print tests, I'm no closer to discovering where the problem rests: - With the Overlay layer selected the print result is like having both the Overlay and [Walls] Wood layer selected.
- With only one of the [Walls] layers selected the print result equals what is shown on screen.
- With only the Door 1 layer selected the result is like having the Overlay, [Walls] Wood, Door 1, Lantern 2, Door 2, Windows 1, and Windows 2 being selected.
I've also tried using the pdf995 Free Converter software, which gives the same results, and I've tried printing from another computer, with the same results. My only option currently seems to be to take a screen capture, import into Powerpoint and print from there. Aaaaaahh

It might be a long shot but you could try Foxit Reader instead of Adobe Reader. For a while I was using Foxit instead of Adobe and found it to be a good program.
Also, when you rebuilt your PC did you download the latest drivers for your printer?

Thanks for your response, aviphysics, it is appreciated.
I've tried printing using Adobe Reader 9 and Foxit reader, and I did install the latest print drivers for my HP Deskjet D2460.

I had an issue printing layers via the work printer before and the solution was to switch one of the advanced printer setting from "send graphics as vector" to "send graphics as raster."
I'm not sure the tech behind the solution, but the problem you are describing sounds like the same one I was having and the printer was also an HP.

Thanks for the response, Sammo.
I don't have the option to "send graphics as raster", so can't try that, but thanks anyway.
I'm now in contact with Dave Graffam directly. I'll update this thread when I get a resolution to the problem.

This is a new one for me, and I've seen enough of these models successfully printed by people around the world to feel confident that it's not a problem with the PDFs, but instead something further down the line.
My best suggestion is to use Adobe Acrobat Reader updated to the latest version, and of course update your printer drivers and check to see if anyone else using that printer is having problems with multi-layered PDFs.
Most of the PDF-reading problems I've heard about can be traced to FoxIt, but it's been about a year since anyone contacted me with this sort of problem. The newest FoxIt might be better.

I'd try using bullzip from inside windows and see if it prints correctly to bullzip: www.bullzip.com/If that fails burn an ubuntu live cd, hopefully the generic print driver will support your printer. Then try printing from inside linux, if this resolves your problem you may have a similar issue to this poor soul, seems a full win re-install fixed it :/ www.fixya.com/support/t2353155-deskjet_1280_will_not_print_allGoodluck
