news.yahoo.com/blogs/this-could-be-big-abc-news/machines-creating-machines-181919022.htmlDidn't know if anyone seen this yet but I found this very interesting! Definitly would be awesome for anyone who would want printable plastic terrain, Minis, and vehicles at there finger tips Lol. This printer is awesome! ;D Major plus is after the $1,750 investment for the machine (Replicator), the plastic for it is fairly affordable! Who knows, could be a possible future for print and play gaming!

Will wait for price drop, but that's going to cause the Games Workshop lawyers to die from excessive migraines.

I know of several people that have spent that much at GW That's what I was thinking. Of course you also are gonna need a 3D scanner to go with it or find someone posting parts online. GW does have that annoying practice of not allowing you to play with non GW miniatures.

When I told my wife about the Makerbot, her only question was "When are you getting one?" After I stopped laughing . . .

If I had any skill in 3D design I would get one, but sadly I'm as skilled at 3D design as tone deaf people are at singing on key.
I read about people converting SketchUp files. There is already a huge library of Free SketchUp models on Google that I wouldn't mind printing.
Give it a couple more years and the price will fall under $1000 and the market for them will really pickup.
