Hey, MESPER,
I have one small bit of feedback, and I mean for it to be "positive."
I FINALLY had a little time to start on your figures... they look AMAZING which no one can deny; however, I would like to see one thing I feel you are lacking.
I would like to see you have thicker borders on your figures. You seem to have done something like this with the Doucorns to kill open space, but when it comes down to cutting out elves with spears, there isn't a whole lot to support the figures. One misplaced snip, and the elf carrying a spear now has a stick.
I am not asking that you redo your entire line, I am just offering a suggestion to future releases.
DARKMOOK is one of the best at this. His figures are easy to cut out for ANY level of experience. If you want a quick figure to cut out and go, there you have it. If you want to spend a long time cutting out the details, then you can.
When I personally am cutting out figures, and I see the stack of 20-30 figures in front of me, I want to cut them out and get them on bases. If I have a lot of small, intricate detail, I tend to lose interest, and almost DREAD the thought of the figures I have to cut out.
Sure, the work you do is amazing, and I can't think of another publisher that does figures with this level of detail, but I feel that if you are making paper figures, it should not take as long to do if you are painting a plastic/metal figure.
I hope you read this with the mindset in which it was written. I am just saying that if the figure is drawn in the right way, a little border on it helps bring out the details, and if nothing else, makes the delicate pieces become more durable.
(Before anyone starts making comments about this, let me say in my defense, I draw around delicate figures or pieces with a marker to help this along. I just thought if the borders were a little thicker, than it would solve this problem).
That is my thoughts on this. Thank you for your attention, and for offering us SO many beautiful figures.
David
