Hey all,
I have a little problem. I just got my printer hooked up to my "new" computer, and when I print out DRAGNOZ "GODS OF STEAM" figures, they are printing out at nearly 50mm, and I am only getting 2 1/2 lines to print on an 8 1/2" x 11" paper.
I have tried to adjust ALL settings, and that is the best I can get it.
Any ideas? Let me know what information you need from me so you can help...
I have setting options like "Shrink over-sized pages" and "Fit."
I have an HP printer (and don't say, "There's your problem..." I have had this printer for YEARS and it is AWESOME).
I tried printing out MESPER's Elven Ambush, and the figures are the right size, but the page cuts off at the cat's mid-sections...
I don't have options like "Center" or things like that...
Any Guru's out there that can help me?

If it helps, there seems to be a big blank line at the top of the page... like it is printing out 1" of nothing before printing out the page. I have NEVER had this problem before, but then again, I JUST now hooked this computer up to the printer....

Are you using the old file or the new one with the layers? the new file's size is better adjusted and is around 30mm.
Im not much help with printers i loath the things, we just dont seem to have a good relationship. I have made peace with the one at work but purely because there is someone else to tickle it and whisper sweet nerdy things in its ears.
erm.. have you tried turning it on and off again?

The doc I am using is the original one... 7 pages (I believe).
I tried a couple of Hoard files, and they printed just fine.
I also amd working on a couple models, and THEY printed fine. It MAY have to do with the |_ squares on the pages (the print boundaries for the cut files maybe)... I am NO expert.
How do I get the newer files?
Thanks for your help, Dragnoz!

you should have received an email from RPGnow or one of those site saying that an updated file is available. Just log in to your account and download it again.
However! in preparation for the rocket trooper launch im going to add the choice of three weapons to the Shock troopers as well and will upadte the file one more time. (also an instruction fix that Vermin discovered)
But please do see if you having any trouble printing it.

I only own Mesper's Ambush #1 file, so i don't know about Dragnoz one.
What i see is that Mesper PDF is made by one single image per page, and that image is set at 96dpi. This means that the image is shrink automatically by Acrobat to make it fit the given page size.
Instead, if the image were set for 300dpi (as it should be) it may be show/print without any processing from the reader.
Dunno if this is the cause of what you get, but in the past i've seen PDFs made by big images being printed wrong.

Ok... That could be, Parduz. Thank you... It seems that I just happened to try out two new sets once I hooked up my computer... ironically, they were configured differentky, I guess. Maybe it is because they are formatted for A4 paper (guessing because one is German, and Mesper is from Portugal, if memory serves)... Regardless, I will take my friend's advice, and re-download his BEAUTIFUL works. BTW, Parduz, you should pick this set up! It is awesome!

Ok, GREAT! ;D I re-downloaded the Gods of Steam. They printed out really well, but it could just be me, they look a little closer to 1 1/4" (32mm) than to 30mm. Not that it is that big of an issue, because I can use them with my RetroSpace IMPERIAX army. These can be the Elite Squads for that army. Thanks for your help, fellas!

no worried :-)
As to the 32mm size.. that was intentional, the should be half a head taller than the normal models. They mostly brawn and bulk. The heavy shock troopers will be a bit taller again.
The rocket troopers will be normal 30mm but will be around 20-30 mm off the ground so 60mm from base to tip of pointy hat thingy.
each will have a choice of 3-4 weapons and be in 6 colors again. however this time ill no be inverting them ese the layers will get unmanageable.

I was thinking of that at work today... I am sure that because of their armor they should be a little larger. Thanks for explaining that! I can't wait for the Jump Troops! Very exciting set! I just built Squirmydad's Cog Steam Tank. I plan on using these together! (And once we get the SpiderWalkers... hint, hint)!

I tried printing out MESPER's Elven Ambush, and the figures are the right size, but the page cuts off at the cat's mid-sections... I don't have options like "Center" or things like that... Thanks for info - I'm aware of this problem now... and I'm afraid it's my bad - sorry for any inconveniences! First 2 sets (Elven Ambush an Elven Warriors) as Parduz mentioned are way too big indeed - ie page size, you have to choose "Fit to printable area" and have "Choose paper source by PDF page size" option checked to print. It's because I'm used to prepare materials for polygraphic publishing so obviously I severely messed up things here (thanks God I converted whole job to RGB... But - it seems that I've already addressed this issue (funny thing is that I did it not intentionally, just using different software and assembling procedure! in newly released sets (Pegasus and Duocorns) so they fit to page without any scaling. New approach should solve the problem (work fine for me at least) - so BOTH initial sets are already UPDATED on RPGnow --- BTW - don't miss your FREE SET: Elven Forest Ambush! Special DISCOUNT LINK (0$ price) For Cardboard-Warriors forum users valid till the end of March: www.rpgnow.com/index.php?discount=14460Thanks for downloading and have fun!

THANK YOU! I just tried printing one of the pages, and it came out GREAT! I am sorry I didn't print these out sooner. I maight have been able to help you identify this "issue" and eliminate it sooner. Regardless, I am just happy now to be able to print out my cats and have them be whole! I have got to hand it to you two, MESPER and DRAGNOZ! I had an issue, and you corrected it almost INSTANTLY! Thanks! David ;D
