UGH... hope this doesnt happen often, Due to my next release "Steam Rocket Troopers" and the higher quality of the set I decided to upgrade my first release of "shock troopers" You can now configure the weapon choices of each character, please note that some characters have limited options due to the position of their hands or pose. But at my count you have a possibility of 218 combinations and 436 if you count the inverse version as well. I will upload the set to RPGnow and all the other sites shortly. If you have previously bought the set, please log in and download the latest version for free. The weapons are: 1. Sniper rifle 2. Heavy machine gun 3. Grenade (one figure only) 4. Chainsaw (when all else fails...) 5. Sword gun 6. Knife gun 7. Flame thrower 8. Long barrel gun

I spent about 20 minutes last night just playing with combinations before I finally printed a set off ...
These guys really suck you in. They don't really fit what I do, but they are so good, now I'm looking for other stuff to go with them.

They are AWESOME! I posted some pics the other day on my board to show you the diversity! I built an ENTIRE ARMY using this set, and the jump troops (and of course, Squirmydad's Steam Tower). ;D

Still need gatling guns, cannons and mortars. Something like a self-propelled push-type lawnmower platform. It moves itself but needs someone behind it to guide it into location.
A rapid transport. A lightly armored, but open steam-propelled carriage to transport troops and cargo. Check out the Autocar from WWI, only steam-powered.
Fuel transport. All this new-fangled gadgetry needs coal and water or they are just so much scrap. Probably need to have a mechanic/engineer vehicle to repair damaged equipment.
A command vehicle

OK! I'm trying all various combinations offered by the latest version of this set. I am speechless. This is the definitive set for any skirmish wargame. Stop! My last 3D wargame, few years ago, was ( very beautiful imho ) AT-43, and ability to create specialized units permitted by this single set, only one set, reminds me it a lot. Officers, heavy weapons squads, infantry squads, specialist squads, close combat squads ... Unbelievable! Great, great, great! Dragnoz. Bravo! I used to play AT-43 wit UNA and Red Blok ( Yes, I'm an anthropocentric player ;D ) so ... ( UNA ) steel troopers, star troopers and shock troopers ( and all their attachments ) are covered by "Steampunk Shock Troopers". Wing troopers from next "Steam Rocket Troopers". To have a great entire faction would still have room for a third infantry set. An heavy armored infantry set like UNA Tacarms and one characters' set ( please, someone without gasmask ). Definitely this is the ultimate steampunk skirmish infantry set, dragnoz. Compliments are not enough.

erm.. im the one that is speechless here.. thank you all so much for the encouraging words... it will definitely ensure I stick with the creation of these.
Do you guys mind if I quote you on some of these remarks?
ok logical next step seems to be heavy shock troopers (Heavy armored infantry) I know the polls said Ninja's but let me just finish the complete Moriarty army... then its ninja's hehe...
yes a character set is also on its way, its actually some of the first figures I drew when I decided to go down the steampunk way.
well i have the single 4 legged steam crawler which can have a turret, and I do want to give the spider crawler troop transporter a bit of a redesign. there are a lot of bits im not happy with.
also support staff, engineers, medics, scully maids etc... all on the cards.
It might actually make sense to complete a whole army first before moving on to enemies...
BTW my initial story had the rest of the world broken up and Holmes traveling the world gathering an army of rebel fighters... he travels to india, japan, russia, africa, egypt etc... so the enemy army i had planed to make out of squads of various historical fighting forces that has adopted the steampunk technology

Historical PrecedentOkay, it's not exactly the same thing but it's near enough as to make no difference... There's even a female option..."This won't hurt a bit"

That exoskeleton in the first picture is either a male, or needs a certain undergarment, if you take my drift...
I think we've had whole threads about this sort of thing! ;D
There seems to be an extra pair of panties on the floor to the workman's left.
Look at all the gaskets in the background to the exoskeleton's right! Gaskets... there's something that is underrepresented in steampunk! When I was a steamer in the Navy, we acquired a very intimate acquaintance with all sorts of gaskets. Sometimes we had to make them on the spot.
From the exoskeleton's left hand, I would assume this is a pirate exoskeleton. Perhaps a mechanical Mary Reade?
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. These pictures are worth at least four thousand! Thanks for finding and posting them, sithcundman!
Have fun, Steve

"The blood I spilt has washed away my cause, I fight now because I know nothing else, I do what I'm ordered, I kill whom I'm told, and at night I dream of flowers." Graffiti on an old baracks wall, long destroyed by the sons of Holmes. hehe ok a concept drawing that got a bit out of hand... not sure where the flower came from.. just felt like the right thing to put in... designing this is surprisingly difficult. This is still not quite heavy enough. LOL loving the expression on the woman's face... "This is not what i had in mind when he said he had to hammer me"

dragnoz: Your steampunk vision is perfect. But ( mu paper figures' vision ;D ): 1- an opening upper part and not a helmet. 2- at least one open (male and/or female pilot/figure is irrelevant ) 3- 3/4 interchangeable heavy weapons for both arms. 4- some color variations for the armors. Perfect!

Nice and funny (in plus) art! This trooper is kinda... wondering / staring at small flower - very climatic/steampunkish!!! Plus good/intriguing solution with dark-blue/black background --- BTW: may I ask some advice? >>>How did you manage to place photos/graphics within RPG product description?

I personally thought she was hoping he didn't miss and hit a vein.
I know this is a concept sketch, and concepts are put in place to judge customer reaction. There may be some truth to customer expectation of the 'enclosed head' concept mentioned. My one concern with that is how you would show the link between these and the other shocktroopers in the series, maybe bulk up the helmet shape and fuse it to the rest of the suit. I don't know.
My second concern is the abdomen. It looks like a vulnerable spot. Perhaps extend the chest armor to a codpiece.
Leg armor is spot on. Excellent work on the fingers. Chest armor is great. Personally, I like the shocktrooper head protruding, but I know a lot of folks won't, or suspect they won't. Shoulder weaponry, excellent.
You are on the right track.

Its actually real easy, there is a add picture button in the WYSIWYG that allows you to insert an image via a URL. I use photobox to host the images and then just use the direct link to the image.
Yes thats the big problem here, and whats got me hitting a wall, they still need to be seen as part of the same set. I like the idea of a closed helmet / canopy but just not sure this is how the suit would have evolved.
Agreed, maybe something more like Squirmydads pic..

Maybe if you changed the face a little... Go with goggles, and less of a diving bell look. That would tie-in to the look of the other figures.
Maybe make the helmet look more like the others, only beefier. I will try to make a sketch...
