Hey, everyone, I was asked the other day to build some figures, and display pictures of them. These are all available for download, and I have got to say these figures are among the best out there! I printed out 8 pages of figures. I didn't print out the 3D models, because there are more figures here then are in a MESPER/ PERMES set! (There are about 125, I believe). So, I will be building these, and posting the figures once they are done. I am guessing that there are at least THREE full (1,000) point ERA OF WAR armies in these pages... 2 are straight fantasy armies, and the third is "Fantasy/Steampunk." The armies (according to the artist) are "KRAKOW ARMY" and "THE CLAN." As I said, I might be able to work a third army out of these, as well. I even came up with a new rule for ERA OF WAR for polearms and phalanx! It is funny how a couple well-drawn figures can influence you SO much, that you make up rules for a game JUST to include them! I am not sure how well these figures will fare against the Sci-Fi armies that the game is built around, but if the game is as balanced as I planned for it to be, we shall soon find out. Stay tuned. I am hoping to get these all built, and organized with pictures by the end of the week.

Heh... KRAKOW ARMY sounds kinda funny'n'weird for me - as "Krakow" is an ancient (well not that ancient as Imperium Romanum but still at least solid 1000+ years old) capital of Poland and nowadays one of the biggest cities and major cultural center... But... there is some fantasy in Krakow history! According to legend: Long time ago, big and bad dragon settle in the cave under the Krakow castle, near the Vistula river. Being an typical and respectable Dragon he used to eat tons of sheeps and stock for breakfast, ruining denizens and kingdom economy.
But the worse part was that from time to time Dragon hunts for maidens - sometimes for dessert and sometimes for appetizer!!!
Kings soldiers attacked malice beast many times and failed... kingdom denizens were both despaired and frightened!
Ultimately King promised his princess daughter and a half of Kingdom to brave one who defeat beast!
Many brave and famous foreign Princes, valiant nobleman and invincible knights died trying defeat this loathsome winged lizard!
And then... when there was no more hope... poor and young shoemaker named Skuba asked for permission to kill the Dragon. Shoemaker was unarmed and rather fragile... but desperate King granted permission, thinking that he is allowing him to make just dreadful suicide...
But... suddenly smart shoemaker just asked for one... but most beautiful sheep from Kings estate and a lot of sulfur and some pitch. And then disappeared for whole night...
At the rising he bringed sheep to the Dragon's cave entrance. When Dragon awake and saw the greasy and appetizing sheep just before cave - he grasp and swallow animal within blink of an eye...
Spectators grumbles... it was not what their were waiting and hoping for!!!
But then... Dragon jumped... roars... and run towards the near Vistula river... and started to dring cold water... like he never drinked before!
He drink, lap and swip as long so he becomes as round and big so he simply can't stand on his feet... but never stops drinking! He was still thirsty as never before and his stomach was like one big fire-ball! ...and finally Dragon...BUUUMMMM..... EXPLODED!!!
Young shoemaker was able to collect just a small pieces of his skin (and he made from them pair of boots obviously:)
As he explained later - he filled sheep's fur with sulfur and pitch so after Dragon swallow tasty looking "animal" - sulfur and pitch ignites from Dragon fire-breath!!! Dragon was trying to suppres the fire in his stomach so started to drink water...
Crowd loudly applauded, vivated and yells Skuba's name... Meanwhile noblemans and knights tried to protest - as it wasn't "fair" fight in their opinion!
But King keep his worlds and princess daughter becomes Shoemaker wife. After Old King death our smart shoemaker (Prince actually) becomes a King... He was righteous ruler and together with his wife and peoples lived long and in happiness

I would ask if you know any history of Newark, Ohio... but NOTHING has every happened, here, and I doubt it ever will... Oh, there was a movie filmed here once staring Lou Diamond Phillips... but we won't discuss that...

Krakow is also the name of the villain knight who threatens the town of Regensbourg. The local hero Dolinger looses two jousts against him but on the third try light from a cross blinds the "evil" Krakow and Dolinger triumphs. They stage a play about it every few years in the town square. I loved living in that town. Is there at least a renaisance fair in Newark?

We have a festival nearby every year... It is fun. When you leave, there is a guy on the tower that yells to the crowd, "Godspeed... everyone else obey the posted limits." See, it isn't that I am not funny, I just have "Ohio Humor." Any way... Rhannon asked me to make some of DISTRIGILLATOR'S KRAKOW/ The ORDER figures. I am not sure which is the "Order," and which are the "Krakow" figures, because I do not speak Russian... so, here are some pics I snapped tonight. Keep in mind, my cell phone is crappy, there is poor lighting, and it is very late here... so the pictures aren't as good as they should be. IF I get a chance, I will try to take some better ones. I consider these guys the "Commanders." The guy in the steampunk armor was actually part of a squad of these guys. He was the only survivor when attacked by a large glass of sweet tea... It's ok, though. By basing him on a 50mm base, it gives him a better range and "sweep" ability in ERA OF WAR. The figures themselves already had bases, but I used the One Monk bases to give them consistency with my other figures. Attachments:

These figures have grey "bubbles" around them so you can easily cut them out, and not worry about losing details or having small pieces get cut off during construction. I kind of ignored these except in the case of pike handles and hilts. The "flying" beast riders in the back were actually mounted on bases that were about 4" (200mm) tall. I cut them down to about 50mm, because they kept falling over due to being top-heavy. Attachments:

These are REALLY great figures. I think there are about 130 of them in all, and I was able to build most of them... Some were damaged, and a few aren't based yet. I am glad to have these as psrt of my collection! Next up: DRYW THE HARPER'S IMPERFECT BACKGROUND DWARVES Attachments:
