now instructions :S the part im not to fond of. Designing is always the fun part, lol. Then again that's my opinion since I've always been slow at typing, lol.  |

I try to actually not use words... and only have pics..
the thing with the starships, they actually easy to assemble, its mstly just box and cylinder shapes that can then be arranges in what ever order you see fit

Hmmm, I haven't made any kitbashes yet, tho I know when this set is released I have a couple of mods in mind that I think will be neat, like a light carrier made from a couple of the second frigates style. As for stats I'll try to track down my notebook and post some that I was testing.  |

Did the final build for the battleship today, final build to take pics for the instructions that is and i started playing with the modular system and was able to create TWO large-ish ships out of just the one battleship components... now if you mix in the components of the two frigates and freighter you will have the possibility to build a near unlimited amount of different and unique ships. I have also created the layout of the two frigates so that they can be scaled up quite a bit on a normal page. Release is set to be over the weekend or early next week. I'm actually considering doing a kickstarter to fund the next 3 faction's ships and a set of rules and the likes...    |

What do you guys think? will i get into any copyright issue to use Black Sun for the starships?
In the Star Wars universe Black sun is a powerful criminal organisation.
the only similarities are that they both deal with space ships...
In my universe Black Sun revers the the first stage of the Magnus Opus where the alchimist empire is trying to extinguish sol, our sun, to start the Manus Opus that will eventually turn their emperor into a god.

Black Sun is an old occult/alchemical symbol and it has been used commercialy as the title of albums, bands etc. so there is no way Mr Lucas can own it. If it turns your crank you should use it.

I hardly wait to put my hand on these ships...
Any idea on availability to masses?
Kickstarter... I think it is a good idea. Some big projects earn a lot of cash (you know, Sedition wars an Ogre near 1000000 $!!!) and I'm sure many cardboard warriors will give some $ for your ships
Black Sun ... used (and abused) for Night Clubs, software house, beauty centers, music... agree that it's very hard for Lucas to claim copyrights.

 Apologies, ive been a bit distracted and tied up these last few weeks with non papercraft related projects... cake sculpting and filmmaking being two of then... Im only now getting all the ducks in the row for the release of the set. Due to the delay in all of this I will not be releasing the weapons pack in the initial release. One big factor for holding back the weapon pack is the stats and weapon cards that will come with it. Weapon pack sounds like a small release but it will be a pretty big release as it will lay the ground work for the Black Sun Wars battle system. so.... to get this thing to launch I would like to add a "Compatible with the following systems" and this is where i need your help.
Which Systems do you thing will be compatible with these ships? here is some completed shots for your enjoyment.    |
