Hey everyone! I have been developing a Dungeon Crawl game, and in the process I came up with some "non-standard" wizard classes. I am planning on putting a set together of 10-12 wizards. Here is a preveiw of the first of the set... The TECHNOMANCER. His abilities include summoning of technological-based creatures, elementals and so forth. I think he could even blend in well with some steampunk sets. There is still a lot of work to do on this, and I welcome ANY comments and Parduzzing. SO, whatcha think? Attachments:

I've always loved the idea of having a Technomancer Class but there just wasn't the minis for it. Also it's a perfect multi-era mini! Lol I totally picture him standing next to some sort of Ornathopter! ;D

Nice figure! It seems like it would fit really well in a steampunk setting

Thanks fellas!
I am just happy to be drawing again! I am very rusty, but I think once I get the basic figures drawn, then it is just a matter of coloring and passing them on to Uptrainfan89 to do the layout (since I am SO poor at it).
I can't wait to get the rest drawn. I am pretty excited about the whole set. The trick is doing something that has been done a million times over, and trying to give it a fresh approach. I doubt you will see the long white beards and pointy hats. (But who knows at this point).
I want to try another here why I am feeling pretty good about this.

I like him too. To parduz a bit: his neck may be a bit short and I think the left arm is short. It looks like his bicep goes right into his body without benefit of a shoulder. Though that may be foreshortening. Can't wait to see some more!

Here is the second... The LITHOMANCER! Need a stone golem, or a wall of rock? He's your man... er, dwarf. Once again, I am trying to get away from more traditional wizards. Attachments:

Thanks, Cowboy. I think you are right about the neck, and the foreshortning issue. It is hard to make it look right.
The Lithomancer's right arm looks wierd, but it will make more sense once it is colored.

Here is the third installment... The HYDROMANCER! She can generate water golems, walls and elementals. She can conjure hurricanes, typhoons and gysers with the flick of her wrist. She also carries magical talismans that each hold a hidden secret. Her arms are long because she uses them to swim as quickly through the water as we move through the air. When I drew her face, I couldn't help but hear a familiar voice warn, "It's a TRAP!" ;D Attachments:

I glad you guys like it so far! ;D This has been a really fun project for me so far and I get to put my PhotoShop skills to the test doing something I like. I'm pleased at how well these are turning out. I'm also definitely glad to be working with Kiladecus and Grey Matter Games on projects now, Kiladecus is one of the greatest and easiest people to work with!

Aw, shucks. I am really happy to see that I found someone that can do the things that I can't, and do them so well. ;D I am working on the next mancer... TERRA, then Electro, Cryo, Necro, yadda, yadda, yadda... I can't tell you how good it is to post something, and have it actually going somewhere!

I know, Rhannon! I want to save SOME surprizes! If it makes you feel better, here is the BIOMANCER! Everyting he casts is centered around living things! He can summon some of Labrat's CHOKER ROOTS, as well as flesh golems. ANY paladin or cleric can turn the undead... but can they change them back into a living creature? This guy can. This is number FOUR! (I haven't done this many figures at one time EVER)! ;D Attachments:

PERFECT! I was just talking to Uptrainfan89, and I told him I was going to scratch her and do a different one! WOW! One of the greatest artist in the industry colored one of MY figures! WOW! Just wow! That looks GREAT! While I was waiting for my wife to get off the laptop so I can check my Facebook, I drew number 6 in the set. Here is the SHADOWMANCER. You know the drill... shadows, darkness, fear... blah, blah, blah... Attachments:

We are about half-way done with the fronts (colors and textures). Then the backs and the "text" for the site... PaperMakeiT! is joining the party. I am using SHUFFLER (of course) for the bases. ;D Once we get this set out, and start future sets, the bases will match PMI's textures, so we can have maps and such, and the bases will match perfectly! However, should you want to use Reivaj's interchangeable system, Inked Adventure's or OneMonk's bases, they are going to be compatible, naturally! I would like to think that this will be available on/around June first...ish! Any other thoughts or ideas you'd like to share? Suggestions?

I don't know if I have bored everyone with this yet, or not, but here is one of the last in the set. You can't have a bunch of "mancers" without the most popular, the NECROMANCER. Not much more I need to say, right? Attachments:

I am pretty excited about these myself. I decided that I will post the colored pictures of the fronts as they are finished on my Facebook page. www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Grey-Matter-Games/281314675240017 There are a couple little "tweaky" things that I want Uptrainfan89 to "fix," and then we will have about 4 of them completely finished. (on the front that is). Once we get the colors and everything worked out, then it *should* be pretty easy to color the backs. I was reading somewhere the other day that Michaelangelo could look at a piece of stone and "see" the statue "inside" it. I am the EXACT opposite. I let my hand drift over the page, and see the figure come to life... I send it to UTF89, and the next day there it is looking at me in living color! I am VERY happy when I think that last week UPF89 and I were talking and we both kind of said, "What would happen if..." That was Thursday, I believe... one week later we have almost a whole set of figures designed. People may not think that is a great feat, but it took almost a year for me to do the skeletons for the Inked Adventure set. UPF89 has a knack for knowing what I am looking for when I send him the figures. If I may say so, we are a good team. Are these the best figures ever... heck no! Are they kinda cool, and original? I like to think so. Do I think people will like them? I hope so. We have been getting some positive responces here thus far. I thank you for THAT!

Once we get the colors and everything worked out, then it *should* be pretty easy to color the backs. Yea, now that I got most of the colors laid out, the backs will go quickly. ;D I am VERY happy when I think that last week UPF89 and I were talking and we both kind of said, "What would happen if..." That was Thursday, I believe... one week later we have almost a whole set of figures designed. People may not think that is a great feat, but it took almost a year for me to do the skeletons for the Inked Adventure set. Lol, I know what you mean, it took me most of last year just to convince myself to take some classes at the college and almost 6 months to finish them on that, just to get better at making minis and models, Lol. Now if only I was better at drawing on paper, LOL. UPF89 has a knack for knowing what I am looking for when I send him the figures. If I may say so, we are a good team. Are these the best figures ever... heck no! Are they kinda cool, and original? I like to think so. Do I think people will like them? I hope so. Lol, I think I'm just a good guesser, LOL. They say every artist has his own style, and I'll admit there are way more talented artist on this forum than I have fingers and toes to count with that rank above me, lol. I'm hoping my skills and knowledge will grow and get better in time, practice makes perfect, lol, but they definitely are original. One thing I've really grown to like on the forum here is that it doesn't matter your skill level, everyone here is still very helpful and supportive! We have been getting some positive responces here thus far. I thank you for THAT! I agree with kiladecus, thank you all for the positive feed back so far. This is more or less my first time taking a crack at fully coloring and texturing minis, so it definitely helps! I'm also glad I took some time to take some college classes these past few months on PhotoShop, this is ultimately really something I wanted to do with that knowledge (makes me wander what the teacher would have said if I told her that, LOL).

I am wrapping up the set... just a few more issues to iron out. Regardless, this is going to be the LAST figure posted in the set. It is the AEROMANCER. I am not fully happy with the way she looks. I see a lot of things that makes the picture look awkward. I may re-do her completley. ANY thoughts? Suggestions? Feedback? Attachments:
