Im down & out for a few days & everyone suddenly gets talkative. kiladecus the dinorider & the r2 are the ones I personally favor but they all look good. I seem to be missing all the parties the holiday viruses seem to be occupying most of my time

This guy is a slightly modified tracing I did in Gimp. I originally wanted to do this ABC Warrior in several poses, but with the Holidays coming, I don't think I can get all the textures done in time. I'm hoping I can get this basic one done in time for the horde and then I'll do the rest in my log area and post them there. I'm not sure of scale. I am thinking of making him tall enough that the top of a mans head is at his arm pit area. He will probably fit on a 40mm base.

It is the battle robot from Judge Dredd..... the ABC warriors were another strip in the same magazine (2000AD).
I quite enjoyed the film although it had no real connection to the Judge Dredd comics....... but the ABC warrior was superb, I really think they should have given him his own movie.
That figure will be superb in mutants and death ray guns, even as an untextured line drawing it looks like it weighs two and a half tons and would leave footprints in plascrete.

A tip Tommygun: your figure seems 'hanging' in the air. For paper miniatures, try to draw the feet without perspective, parallel to the ground. Look at some of the Jims minis to see what I'm trying to talk about.
Great bot, BTW.

He is only about 90% drawn out, as far as black lines go. I'll try and get the line drawing done tonight.

Have a couple issues with the Psi-Borg that need to be "cleaned up" and then there's the nightmare of trying to color it (which my coloring is worse than my DRAWING)... so, I don't know what it's gonna look like. After I complete this, AND if time allows, I may tackle the Bashiik Rider (the "robot on the dinosaur"). Watched part of DELGO last night, and there were these massive creatures in that that looked awesome... May go that route, but since they didn't have arms (just rear legs), I may throw my T-Rex-style arms on them with claws. Depending on how THAT goes, I may try to do a couple more. QUESTIONS: - After I do the front and back, do I have to put it on the base (little black line), or is that done my Sir Rob?
- Do I have to have the back already inverted, or can I have the front and back side-by-side?
- Do I post the "finished" product HERE, or do I have to send it somewhere else (like in a PM to Sir Rob)?
I know that these questions have probably been posted somewhere, and since this is the first time ever CONSIDERING this, I am just nervous... Thanks for any help you can give me on this! (Also... how do I tell someone if I want to use "Kiladecus" or my REAL name on my figures? I would prefer my "real" name, but it doesn't matter, I guess)... Ok, thanks for your attention and help!

My guess (not having participated in a horde yet) is that you do the mini to the point where it's ready to be printed, including alignment, black bars and whatever you want to put on said bars - the mini's name and whichever you chose for yourself. All Sir Rob does is compile it all as a pdf. I'd also assume that you can post the finished piece here.

Here is my OFFICIAL first posting of a figure... I hope this is the right place. Here goes! These are called SKELETRONS. They are electronic skeletons that are equipped with a machine-gun and energy sword. [a href=" "] [/a]

This is designed to be a 2.5D figure. After gluing and cutting, fold at the GREEN lines (elbows and ammo belt), and there you have it. Here are a couple of pictures... [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a]

Cool 'bots. Keep up the postings and maybe I'll consider having killer robats terrorize the players in my fantasy campaign.

@ Parduz: Yeah, Kane just told me the same thing. I guess it's because I have NO idea what I am doing. @ Dryw: Thanks. If it helps, you can justity by saying the sword is "magic" and they can be clock-work warriors... with machine-guns...

My horde is almost done. I will Email the file in tomorrow. I was able to get a nice shinny look on Marven by playing with the gradient tools, but Marvin has a much simpler surface.

I'm down & out of this one just lost my second computer yesterday not sure if the files on either are even recoverable wont know till I get home from work tonight .So at this point I'm assuming all work in progress & even some of the finished work is lost save for what was uploaded to photobucket but even then those are just jpg's the layered .xcf's are in the downed machines even if the files are recoverable it'll be a bit before I have them back as the drives were quite large & very cluttered.not to mention some of the files were on vmware virtual drives in the one machine so I have to recover the virtual drive image then get a machine up & running with vmware to access the image & the files it contains
