Thank you, Reivaj (you loyally soul) ! Yes, wild variation here - like the topic demands. If you line up Superheroes against Robots, Zombies, Snakemen and Mutant Dragogres you get ... World War Weird.

Paladin, those are fantastic!
I love the expressions on their faces.
Feel free to color/recolor any of my illustrations, your much more talented at it than I.

Yippieh, you like them, Adam, thanks ! We have to divide the honor equally, of course. I think, your line-art is pretty strong. Despite those Zombies are somewhat crude copies of miniature pics, they have something special ... don't know. That's why I got the itch to color them. The faces were really fun to paint. A "clean" approach is not always the best, if you know, what I mean. This was true Souza/Paladin-collaboration. ;D

Pretty decent turnout for this months Horde.

Puh ... this took me much longer than planned ! Fighting misalignment of fronts/backs the black border is a bit odd and off, at least for the backs. Feet only for serious paper modders ! ;D Adam, I stayed true to your line-art, no correction of perspective/proportions. I found it quite expressive. Hope, you (and others) like it. Tried my best to be on the weird side of horror ... ;D. So we got (from left to right): 1. (British) Desert Ammo Zombie 2. (Russian) Tank Zombie 3. (German) Pilot Zombie 4. Wehrmacht Zombie 1 5. Wehrmacht Zombie 2 6. Dr. Klaus Sturm - Rocket Engineer Zombie Just realized that these would probably work better with bases i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc161/Centinull/Paper%20Miniatures/May2011HoardWWeirdZombiesbyAdamSouzaAndPaladin.jpg

Thanks, Adam. Much more comfortable now. I was plain lazy to do some bases (no time and energy left then). Your shaded robot is a perl. Shading style fits nicely with the strong, bulky line-art. Scratchy, worn-out texture, well done !

I know, this thread is closed ... ;D Because of lacking other upload/linking possibilities I upload the Souza/Paladin Cyclops Robot-Collab here (Adam can transfer it to his own thread, if he wants ...). Backside not quite the thing I wanted, but after 547 days of continuos battle this Robot is pretty messed up anyway. Attachments:

Thanks alot, Reivaj. Those effects are sometimes hard to control, so the outcome is a bit a question of luck. But for some things it's quite useful.

That's a great visual effect. You can almost see yourself in the reflection =)

I think, I cranked up the contrast too much - and mistreated the Cyclops in GIMP anyway. I got alot of artefacts, which look like burned paint now (look at his claws). The raw file is more clear. Perhaps I will do it all over again ... . I like, how the head and the oil leakage turned out, though. Attachments:

Ok, Nik is on a mission to get the Hoards back up to date. He has asked me to make a "last call" on all outstanding hoards (except September) so consider this last call!
