Thanks! It was a good one despite the 'suprise' party; being autistic I can't stand surprises (you'd think my mother would have noticed that at some point in the past 40 years), but it seemed obvious to me that they were planning something so I was able to prepare myself mentally for it in advance.
Plus the distraction during setup was my dad taking me to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier, so the day had some win.

madmanmike, I was going to say more about your Druid card, when I lost my connection...again! Thankfully, I just got it back. First, I am very glad you had a good birthday! I don't remember my fortieth, or rather I don't want to as it was during a not-so-happy time in my life. But being with my new husband (celebrating our fourth year in July), Peter, makes up for all that was unhappy in my past life. About your Druid, the new cape is lovely and the companion is wonderful! (I love cats - big cats in particular). My own Druid's companion is a dire weasel named Iayaya. Although, I still think a staff that looks a little more natural would add just the right touch of personality. Here are some examples I found on www.icy-veins.com

GAH! So close. I'm making a How-to assemble video (Palladium has never been a minis game, so there's a good portion of it's fans that probably have no experience with minis <like me>), and then I'm drawing a battle map on this white board and doing the final promo shots and it's done!

While I know you will do an outstanding job, I will wish you luck anyway, because who couldn't use a little extra luck?

Good fortune! I got together with some friends to game on Saturday and one friend handed me something that I had left at his apartment right after I purchased it.. over 9 years ago! I had completely forgotten having purchased it and lo and behold, now when I need it most it is found. I am speaking of course of the Dungeons & Dragons Map Folio 3-D. I knew when I saw it online a few weeks ago that it looked familiar, I just didn't realize I had it. So yesterday I sat down and assembled a few of the buildings and put this together.. The sad truth is revealed, a photographer, I am not.

Say what you like about the photo, the figs look good! Thanks! Hopefully I can get the time this weekend to do a better photo and submit these. The wife is out of town Sunday through Wednesday, so I can't drive the bus (have to get the kids to school myself).. That means sleeping a bit later and not losing half the day to napping, so, barring continued issues on the publisher's end, this may be on the market soon..

This was eating me alive until I finished it this morning; six of the figures pictured I put together in the past 24 hours. Approved by Kevin Siembieda himself, here's the full Palladium Fantasy Racial Scale Chart!

Oh I never realised quote how huge Wolfen were in Palladium Fantasy!! (Haven't looked at it since the 1st ed way back in the day admittedly.)

Yeah, they're 6+1D4 feet tall; so admittedly, this is their max height and they probably average more like 8ft tall..

Having played a Wolfen back in 1st ed. I didn't realise how tall I was. That chart will be a godsend for players and GMs alike. Beautiful work!

Still waiting on Palladium to okay the copyright information for the minis to go to market. In the mean time, I've gotten a commission done; my character creation process leaves my test renders in perfect line to make minis, so I put this together as part of it; Hellmillia Greyaxe, Pirate Ogress.

Wow! I like the way she handles that axe, like it hardly weighs anything! Scary lady!

Hmm, speaking of the axe: I don't know if you can change it but from the back it looks like the axe is resting on her shoulder, from the front it looks like it is completely behind her shoulder (which would be very awkward)

It is a Hammer, and I see what you're saying.. the depth of the shoulder plate gives the illusion it's behind the shoulder, although it's just resting on the plate.

You are right, it is a hammer. Power of suggestion proved again.

The customer who commissioned Helmillia further commissioned three more characters, an elf, a kobold and Helmillia's brother, a ten foot tall Ogre; until that character I was making my ogre and wolfen minis at 8ft tall, but now I've created a process for 10ft tall minis too. I'm not changing the four Ogres that come in set two, but future sets will reflect the new size.
Driving a school bus this morning, then getting back the 3 hours of sleep it's robbing me of, so not much productivity today before my regular job. Still, I'm calling Kev this afternoon to badger him about the final page approvals, so this project can move to market.

With GenCon coming up and the eminent release of the Robotech RPG Tactics game Palladium still has not gotten to approving the packages yet. I've been working on the games I'll be running at GenCon and thought I'd give you guys an exclusive look at the minis I've made for the Fantasy game I'm doing. The only difference between this page's format and that of the finished package is that I've gone ahead and attached the bases to the minis themselves instead of prividing three base options on a separate page. Final for-sale packages will have 24 standard height minis to a page, instead of the 16 you see here. These will probably be available in a free adventure package somewhere down the line, but for now, her you go guys.

They're good fun!
The Wizard's hat doesn't quite look like it "belongs" though; bit too much "perched on the top" rather than being worn.

Thank you for sharing! I must say, that though I stay away from CGI minis because of the "uncanny valley" effect works strongly on me, that yours, once they have the black outline, work fine. And thank you very much for equal gender representation! Too often ignored, which is weird, because 90% of the time I play under a woman GM, and half the players are women too.

Yeah, that's part of the character, he's a bit unsure of himself and awkward.. Thank you for sharing! And thank you very much for equal gender representation! Too often ignored, which is weird, because 90% of the time I play under a woman GM, and half the players are women too. Thanks, I appreciate that. I make an effort to 'toon' them up with my post-work process to get them further away from the uncanny valley. And while my first two sets that will be for sale are entirely male, I am working on matching female minis for each of the character classes from Palladium Fantasy. Also you'll notice that I don't go in for the chainmail bikini styles either. I like a practical look for the characters. I think that Psi-Mystic mini (the first one on the left) is about the skimpiest outfit I've put on one..

Congratulations! That's exciting! I've seen how long you've been working at the project, so it must feel really good to finally have a release date in sight! I skimmed over the release page, and was astounded at all the stuff coming up. For those of you who want to see the mention, it's about a third of the way down. After scrolling through for a few minutes, I ended up doing a search for miniatures to find it "COMING SOON: Fantasy paper miniatures designed and created by βMadmanβ Mike Leonard, so check out all the goodies on DriveThruRPG.com." It also looks like you are headed to GenCon - lucky duck!

Yeah, it's pretty cool.
This will be my second time going to GenCon. I really enjoyed working the booth for Palladium last year, and this year the booth will be substantially bigger, with a gaming area that I and a couple of others will be running games at.
Hence these minis, to show off the style I'll have on DriveThruRPG for Palladium. Anyone playing in my demo will get to keep the mini for the character they play, and if Kev approves I'll be collecting the emails of the players for future exclusive samples of the for-sale products.
