I know that most everyone here knows of Fiddlers Green www.fiddlersgreen.net/Regretfully, Chip Fyn passed away this week. He knew that his health was failing and was trying to find a way to continue his site and retire. Last time I talked with him, the latest possibility's negotiations failed. And now he's gone. The community will miss him. If you want to read more about him, you can visit his page on the website, www.fiddlersgreen.net/other/ABOUT%20CHIP/Chips-Page.htm

Very sad news. I admired the way he used the internet to promote his models and the fact that his emails called me "model'n pal". I still love some of his minis and use them every chance I get.

I'm a bit stunned and rather dismayed to hear this. I've always admired him and Fiddler's Green, and his passing is going to leave quite a hole in the hobby.
He'll be missed.

Crap. I dl'd my very first paper model from him, a little english cottage in 20mm scale that I used for WW2 gaming. I bought all of the buildings he had, some of the planes, and a smattering of everything else, built most of it too. Sad day indeed.

Sad news.
He was really an example to follow. You could tell how much of himself he put in the hobby.

Got back from my unintentionally extended weekend to have two emails from Scott, his son. He's going to make a go at continuing the business. For those that got the email, it also gave a good glimpse into Chip and his love for the hobby.

Sad news indeed. I've been by his site, but didn't know his name until he died.
