My printer was getting so old I couldn't find ink cartridges for it anymore. Luckily a friend gave me an HP Deskjet F4480 he didn't want anymore.
The problem is when I print pictures what should be the darkest black is coming out a blueish grey. It has the effect of making my plain paper look glossy from every angle.
There are some distortions in other dark colours as well.
I've tried "normal" "picture" "presentation" and "best" settings and the problem persists.
Any suggestions?

Bump, Help.
To describe the problem again;
If "1" is the lightest shades and 10 should be the darkest shades, everything works fine from 1 to 9 but then "10" is coming out at about a 7 or 8.
Any ideas?
