Dear U.S. guys, i don't know (or i can't remember) where you all live, but from here i'm looking at that hurricane as i could look to an alien ship (i mean, i think that a similar thing cannot happen here). I'm hoping the best for the friends that are involved in the Sandy path. If you want, write here a line to let us know you're ok. *crossing fingers*

I'm watching from the other coast and concerned about friends in the Baltimore and NYC areas. This one could be really bad. Having ridden out a terrifying three-day hurricane when I was nine (and later learned was actually a small one), I just can't imagine anything bigger.

Luckily there was advanced notice. I hope everyone is using good judgment, preparing as best they can and then getting safely away. But that isn't always possible ...
Wishing everyone affected by this all the best.

Watching with great interest and concern. Even though I'm now out here in California, both of my parents (divorced) and the most of my immediate family still live in Manhattan, and my sister lives in upstate New York so I'm keeping an eye on things. Dryw the Harper As always, use Imperfect People responsibly and don't let hurricane winds blow them away.

Ironically, my ex-wife's name is Sandy. They couldn't find a more appropriate name for something so destructive...
Seriously, I hope the best for everyone affected by it. I am about 4 states in, and am feeling some affects (NOTHING like the people on the coast). Yesterday morning within less than an hour we saw rain, snow flurries, hail and high winds. I always joke and say, "If you don't like the weather in Ohio, wait five minutes and it will change." Yesterday it was the TRUTH!
All my best, friends!
