SirRob01 offered some WONDERFUL advice, and I am not sure which way to go with this. It will be a HUGE under-taking to redo ALL of my covers, but I can do that gradually over time. Which ever one I agree on, I will do those in the future. One this that SirRob ALSO hit on wa that my sets are kinda jumbled and thrown out there. Perhaps, I could do the WARMANCERS in the TAN, and do the ERA OF WAR stuff in Grey (or whichever chosen color). My wife offered her suggestion, but time (and votes) will tell for sure. Good thing about the colors: 1) The lighter colors show the detail better. 2) The darker shows the color better (Sakkar, Serpen Champion seems to change colors with his surrounding - which shows I did a BRILLIANT job on the coloring). 3) The thumbnails on the page show the images better at a minute size. 4) The black gives a commanding presence and shows up well... as a whole. I am not sure which way to go. I have gotten feedback to use non-saturated colors with gradients... Like WARMANCERS SET ONE, but I had a volunteer do that for me, and I can't ask him to do all of my covers for me. It will be a flat color... but which one?

I think classic black seems to really show the characters better. They just seem to pop out a bit more. ;D

To me: - while "Grey Matter" have a sense, a gray background is .... meh. Maybe if it was drawn as grey matter... yuck!
- Tan is nice but perhaps you should draw (or put an image of) sand and dunes
-
Black makes everything standing out without any other requirement.
I've seen Sirrob suggestions on the other forum and i should re-do my vote. The "texturized" tan of the image shown on that thread is better than the pure black. It's a matter of how the figures put in the cover will look against the black. Some will look good, some not. So, my vote is a texturized tan.

I was also of the opinion that the black background was best, until I saw the covers with black and tan background side by side in your post on facebook. I think that because of the black outlines, paper minis look a little "absorbed" by the black background, while the tan one gives a good contrast and is more "alive" than the grey one.

Thanks for the feedback, fellas.
I liked the black, but there were a LOT of god points... I think the gray looked nice, but it seems "cold." he black was my favorite (naturally, that's why I used it). But the thumbnails on RPGNow.com looked like black squares with scattered colors on them. The tan shows them off a little better.

More important than the color, you should try to increase the size of the minis in the cover. Show what you are selling!

So I get an email, and think, "Who is ....?" I didn't think much about it, and then I saw it was from [someone here on the forum]*. I opened the attachment, and thought, "HOLY CRAP!" (That is about the extent of the "language" I use). This was SO BRILLIANT, I couldn't help but share it. I have asked him for permission to use this. Absolutley beautiful! *- If he says I can reveal his handle here, I will. Some people prefer to not be given credit, and would wish to remain anonymous. (I can repect that). My figures NEVER looked so good. Attachments:

There's your model cover, right there! Awesomesauce. Your models do look good in-context (as if they are in a game.) All models look kinda crappy when on a lame background.
I'm still learning how to stage my photos as well...

LIKE THAT? Check THIS out! The "Great and Powerful Aussie" has struck AGAIN! I am getting on a plane, flying 14 hours and then sneak into his room and steal his talent in his sleep. (just kidding... Please don't get a retraining order against me... If you do, it is "W-E-A-R-S." ) Seriously, I LOVE this! I would like to see it portrait instead of landscaped, and it can be the first page inside the cover. I see this as a "Mini Poster" like WIZKIDS and Wizards Of The Coast do with their figures. I am in AWE of these images. EDIT: No one seems to have picked up on the fact the Werewolf Mage is wearing Little Red Riding Hood's cape. Apparently, her claws were better to rend flesh with. ;D Attachments:
