I picked up all the ants sets yesterday and thought the same thing. So many choices and styles make this hobby so much fun.

Hey Steve, If you want to write a short article showcasing the many great sets newly available from the many publishers, I'd put it up on the front page of the website! Just a thought.

Give me a few days to settle down. I just finished a 3,000+ word paper and two three-hour presentations this week. I'll see if I can't crank something out over the Thanksgiving break next week! This is going to be fun! Have fun! Steve

[EDIT - correct use of formatting] Not that I am trying to get attention, but this is an actual product that is available... It is the Official ERA OF WAR Codex for the Ants of Reivaj. It has the history, background, and other nifty facts that Reivaj and I worked on together. That reminds me, if there is a publisher or artist that would like to have some figures incorporated into ERA OF WAR, PM me or drop me an email (my email is to the left). We can discuss your figures and set up a Codex for them. The actual Era of War game is going to be released *soon* but the Codexes have enough rules to be able to "hammer out a game." I am NOT trying to step on any toes, or side-track this thread... just wanting you to know this was available. Thanks for your attention! www.rpgnow.com/product/107271/Era-Of-War%3A-Ants-Of-Reivaj?term=era+of+war**I hope that you find this information helpful and understand that I would never try to "upset the apple cart." Moreover when some of my close friends are involved. Sorry for ANY misunderstanding this post may have caused. I hope this helps.**

@ KilaActually mine "poster" was intended as kinda "thank you" answer for Steve's kind words... It was also supposed to be rather joke and funny (and as I understood Reivaj, another one author mentioned in OP, found it OK)... and then suddenly you kinda "jumped out of the box"... Anyway reading after reading I'm afraid that I'm not quite understood what's your point...? Should I remove / delete this "poster"?!? Well, if you, Reivaj or Admins would say so I'll do it of course just drop me a line / PM please... EDIT: ;D

mmm... guys ... imho there is a little misunderstanding ( I suppouse ) ;D ;D ;D I'm sure that Dave is not contesting the playful (and beautiful) poster but he is offering his cooperation for a possible other code. I read it, sorry if I interfered. PS: Dave, if you write with capital letters (uppercase or as you say) a lot of people read the capitalized as a reprimand (because capital letters in internet are are compared to scream ) and are not intended as a note to give attention to words. But you write in capitals all titles, all types of important words in a phrase ... I already read only those ... ;D ;D

Not that I am trying to get attention, but this is an ACTUAL product that is available... It is the Official ERA OF WAR Codex for the ANTS OF REIVAJ. It has the history, background, and other nifty facts that REIVAJ and I worked on together. That reminds me, IF THERE IS A PUBLISHER THAT WOULD LIKE A CODEX OF ANY OF THEIR WORK, PM me or drop me an email (my email is to the left). The actual ERA OF WAR game is going to be released *soon* but the Codexes have enough rules to be able to "hammer out a game." I am NOT trying to step on any toes, or side-track this thread... just wanting you to know this was available. Thanks for your attention! www.rpgnow.com/product/107271/Era-Of-War%3A-Ants-Of-Reivaj?term=era+of+warI certainly didn't mean to leave anybody out when I wrote my original post! The reason I chose to point out mesper's Templars and Reivaj's Ants was because there are enough different troop types in each army, and the figures in each army are stylistically compatible enough, to field presentable armies on the table top at just about any scale, from skirmish to massively epic! Also, I am pleased with the fact that each of these great productions are from artists outside the American/Anglophone (read a certain company abbreviated "GW") branch of the hobby. I didn't have any particular rules system in mind. I was just thinking about how the table top would look. I have a set of home-brewed rules I've been using since the mid-1970s, that I'd probably use myself, but I have the Grey Matter Games "Ants of Reivaj" codex, and it looks very useful. If mesper were to stat-up his Templars for Era of War, or if he would allow you to do so for him, I would certainly enjoy running them in some Era of War games, especially after the more complete version of the rules are available, and write up some battle reports! I hope this thread can be a place for us to celebrate EVERYONE'S contributions we all enjoy so much, and to express our appreciation for each others' work! Have fun! Steve

Hey, first off, I consider myself good friends with both Reivaj and Mesper. ;D I would never say anything to sound like or give the impression that I wasn't approving of any of your work. I loved the poster, by the way. As far as using the capitals, I am generally too lazy to use the formatting... I will go back and modify that so it doesn't look like i am upset or yelling! Also, I wasn't trying to "cut in on your dance," I was just saying that it was out there. That's all. I also used the capital letters to gain attention that says I would be willing to work with other people and incorporate other artists into Era of War. That's all. Once again, I am very[/b] sorry for having anyone think I was upset in ANY... I mean, " any" way, shape or form.

...and you are a bit of a legend in my mind, Steve. Once again, I get myself caught in a misunderstanding that I come across looking like an idiot, a fool, or a "______________" (fill in the blank), because I assume people understand me. LOL! I felt a little like people were picturing me as Jan Brady saying, "Mesper, Mesper, Mesper." (If you don't get the reference, then it is NO use explaining it). Once again, great work, fellas! ;D

Once again, great work, fellas! ;D Err... that's the issue - she's some sit com character (according to uncle Google:)?, which is not popular or even not known at all here in Europe I'm afraid... Anyway - thanks David, no offence here and it's good to know that you liked both Reivaj's and some of mine projects!

It was a character that was a brat and the middle child. It was on a show that was on nearly 40 years ago. Her most famous line was when she was jealous of her older sister and would complain because everything was "Marsha, Marsha, Marsha." (Hence the "Mesper...).
You know I LOVE ALL of your work (not yelling, just stressing the fact that I wanted you to know the magnitude that I appreciate your work).
As a matter of fact, I own ALL of your and Reivaj's sets! (except the Werewolves... been too busy to pick those up, yet). I stand in awe of the talent that you both possess.
I agree with Steve... two fantasic sets from two brillian artists.
