Thank you very much Gilius. Your answers have been of great help. Now I have taken some Word Mill products, so I can read them when I have available time. But I can't find where I can download, or buy, "The Enquiry Table" ... this is really the last help request, I promise.

The link for the table is (besides the jpg version, there is a pdf version at the end of the post.) shichitenhakki.wordpress.com/2011/11/11/enquiry-table-update/The comments on the post are useuful also, there's a brief discussion about how to use the table.

Ok lol, I think I finally have the rule set figured out, thanks a ton for all the links and ideas. I was also wandering, does any one know of some good sci-fi 2D tiles with 2D scenery or placeable 2D scenery? Edit: Also, I forgot to mention, I'm looking for tiles that are in black & white or grey scale or would look ok converted to grey scale, lol.

I think I'm gonna give a couple of the 5150 rules sets a go, they look close to what I want and look fun, lol. Also I'll continue to play GunCrawl on the side, lol.
Also I've been looking into 2D tiles. So far I kinda like how Skeletonkey Games eFuture tiles look. Anyone know much about them or if they would work in grey scale also? ;D

But I seem to remember that the SKG products are both color and gray tones.

I highly recommend the Skeleton Key tiles. I only wish he had done a regular base in addition to the ice cave base.

I've really been looking at the starship bundle from SKG that has the six main sets I'd want. It doesn't say if it comes in grey scale but that wouldn't be hard to convert in PhotoShop. I'm planning on using the Terra force vs the hybrids. I used PhotoShop to make them into black and white minis.
I'm mostly doing black and white builds to save on ink for a while. (Figure I can color by hand if I want, lol.) Unfortunately my HP printer is one of those that has a cartridge for black ink and a cartridge that has 3 colors in it and it seems to drink the color ink 3x as fast as the black ink. Also it's cheaper to buy just a black #60 cartridge than both or one color cartridge, lol.

Is one of these available for your printer? : www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-Refillable-ink-cartridge-with-chip-for-HP-564-XL-Deskjet-3070a-3520-W-chip-/221118508814?pt=US_Ink_Cartridges&hash=item337bb0af0eI run a set in my epson. I tend to only buy good quality ink as I got a bad batch once which caused all my prints to fade after 2 months. But even allowing for that I get about the equivalent 20 full cartridge sets of ink for about $80. Since running the above I've used up about 150mls of each colour. (1.5 ink sets). 1 full set of official carts from a shop would run me about $140...

Sirrob01: I'll definitely have to check those out sometime, I didn't know they even made something like that, Lol. I just figured you were stuck with what you got, Lol. On a side note here is what I was busy with last night for my upcoming GunCrawl game next weekend, were starting a new setting and story line. It is the Freighter from SKG, I'm thinking of calling her the Celestia, what do ya think? It is in gray scale and is laminated! ;D

Hi Up!
it's a very good board. A beautiful view, imho.
Forgive me if a few days ago I have not finished my answer. During this time I have some serious personal problems that affect my available time.
Now I have checked. Most of my old SKG sci-fi files are only in color. They are fourteen. In addition there were some bonus tiles that could be downloaded only online from SKG (now there are only three ), but there is a whole free collection of them on RPGNow ( while the last three only online bonus files are still on the site SKG ).
First e-Future tiles products were in zip format ( with two pdf files inside. One with An intro and the bonus tiles and one with the tiles ) while the last are offered in a single pdf file.
To be sure of my answer, I downloaded again, from my historical archive on RPGNow, them. No one has a grayscale version today.
So I don't know, I can't remember, because only the first two sets ( xenomorph hive and Star Freighter ) have also grayscale variation tiles.
They are several years old ( about eight ), perhaps they are a very old version.
Today there are many good alternatives, and maybe someone can think that some of these SKG products, after a few years, cost a little too much today.
But imho their cost/quality ratio is still completely intact. With the quality that far exceeds the price today.
These are great products. Why art, passion and vision don't age ( I do not know if I wrote well. They don't grow old ) And Ed Bourelle is still the best ( game ) cartographer.
If you are interested in spaceships' tiles, in addition to those SKG, there are some, also designed by Bourelle, by Ronin Arts.

I forgot "uptrainfan", .... very nice cargo. Personally I prefer it colored. I am mesmerized by the colors ... And this, however, should serve your needs not to my preference. ;D But if you need other deckplans, even better structured than SKG imho, that use the SKG tiles ( some ships are really huge, and even on several decks ), You could take a look at the Ronin Arts deckplans' series. Once they were on RPGNow, but now there are no more. ( www.roninarts.com/store/default.php?cPath=2_9_23 ). These products use all SKG tiles, but some of them have some bonu tiles, always designed by Ed Bourelle. But I already told you this.

Hey Rhannon, Thanks for that link to Ronin Arts, I'm definitely going to have to get some of those sets just for the bonus tiles, Lol. Those starships look amazing! I seen they had a free starship set, 14 I think it is, but I can't seem to figure out what tiles it needs or where to find them.

Well after some talk with a couple of my gaming friends we decided to go with Terra force vs the skelebots instead of the hybrids. We decided we wanted a more technologically advanced enemy, lol. We like to have simple back storys and plots that can roll into other games with guncrawl so here is the Nightshade ship. It will be the ship that the players first encounter the skelebots. It is a ship the skelebots took from its now diseased crew. The plan is the skelebots take out the freighters (Celestia) main engines crippling the ship. the skelebots will be boarding the freighter, which the heroes were traveling on and the freighter comes under attack from the then boarding skelebots. The goal isn't really going to be saving the freighter, tho they can try, but to survive the fight and escape with the Nightshade thus becoming there new ship for a while. Sorry for the poor lighting. I also laminated these tiles. ;D

I hope you'll write a full session report. You're tickling my curiosity Lol, I definitely planned on taking lots of pictures during the game and writing what all happened throughout the game, I think I'll make a different thread for it tho, lol. I even made a custom loot chart in Excel that goes from 1-100 of stuff I made using the weapon guide in the guncrawl rulebook so I'm really excited to see how well it works. Next thing on my list is getting some more minis cut out, I've been having too much fun with the ships, lol. ;D
