Well, here you go! I changed it to the more standard format, instead of the fold method I use for my usual bases. First time I'm submitting something here, not sure if I'm doing this right.

Finished version of XXVC. Roman Legionnaires - Heavy Gunmen There are some major changes compared to previous / working versions (see previews on thread's page #1). Firstly - big, big cloak and shield placed in front. Then helmet visor added. Weapon holding, as it's huge and heavy gun, like in very first version. There are also 2 color versions - with metal and bronze armour and various cloaks / crests and shields I've added also optional / additional shield fronts, so you can slightly modify these figurines or make 2 squads etc... You might ask what happened with other versions from previews? Well, If time allows I'll use these for standalone mini-set with more various figurines and accessories perhaps, assuming that there will be any interest... Enjoy

Here is my contribution to this hoard... I called it "Knight of Chaos" It's hard to tell but it is facing left. In a strategy game I'd count it as a mounted figure with slow movement and ranged and melee attacks... Comments and suggestions are welcome as always. Attachments:

Nice additions both, the Hoards really filling out well. There will be a nice little bunch of minions to close out 2012.

Thanks Hackbarth, glad you put them into a hoard I'm wrapping up the Steam mech instructions at the moment, down to doing the instructions for the last few weapon options.

If this is too late, just throw it on another Hoard. It is a "brand new" K'Vyk War Walker. Every element has a new texture and I removed the Projection Cannon, and added a Missile Launcer. Since it has a Laser, it can be used by the Following ERA OF WAR armies: - Narcossian Warbots ("Killer Robots")
- Heroes of Blakemoor
- The Forgotten
- and of course, the K'Vyk Dominion
Also, if you glue an extra "side" to the outside of these Walkers, making sure NOT to glue the "toes" together, you can have the feet with a "Y"-shaped foot that really improves the durability and aesthetics of the model overall. This is a PDF, so I couldn't post it here... but fired it off to SirRob01 to include in future Hoard. Thank you for your attention. Attachments:

Hey Kila,
These look great!
If you made an optional page of two sided legs people could make three toed walkers and the legs would get a 3dish bump up as well.

Thanks, Fellas! I try to do something new or different with each figure/model I do. This came to me as a "Why didn't I notice that before," kind of thing. As far as the "third toe," I considered that but decided it would look a little too "big metal bird," and less "Catapult." (See below) I think Rhannon was on to something... he suggested I do something for the Hoard again, soon. I think he was wanting me to design something for "fun" again. Maybe he wanted me to get back to my roots and remain "grounded." Maybe it is because my stuff in the past SUCKED so bad, that he wanted me to redeem my name... Who knows... I do know this... the "dirty" textures on the new Walker look AMAZING! Also, it is VERY sturdy, and you can squeeze it and it doesn't "squish." With a model like this, Glenn's Smoosh Assurance doesn't apply! Seriously, I am not sure where SirRob01 can drop this, but whatever one it goes in, I am sure that people will enjoy it. On a side-note, I was pretty pleased with the "rusty bits," but the thing that I am happiest with is the Missile Launchers. I *may* one day do a 3D version that can mount on the sides, and then you can hace the Projection and Laser Cannons AND two Missile Launchers! That would follow the "rule of three" (Primary, Secondary and Reserve Weapons), and still look great. There is a little more of a "Post Apocalyptic" feel to this with some textures that not only look "dirty," but also have "bolts" and the top hatch has REAL diamond plate on it. By the time I get around to doing "larger" vehicles, I may actually have some kind o skills at this! ;D Attachments:

I've lost my weekend to repairing and re-outfitting computers for my parents (almost done). For anyone who might not know you've got about another 10 days to pickup cheap win8 upgrades and you dont have to upgrade the PC's straight away you can pay and then download the image as an iso to be rolled out later with the rego key. For me I've purchased a couple of cheap keys and have the for later iso's ready to go hopefully when some of the usability issues have been resolved in win8 (probably sp1 in 8-12 months).... I've started the layouts but I wont get finished until sometime next week(end), sorry all and the Hoard is definitely closed now.

Take your time, no rush here. What are holidays for if not to indulge in our hobbies?

I thought our hobbies were meant to help us procrastinate at work.

The clever ones find a way to make their hobbies profitable, so that they never need to work again. (Of course, I know a lot of people who've tried this, and know almost none that have succeeded)

(Of course, I know a lot of people who've tried this, and know almost none that have succeeded) Theatre was my hobby that I quit my regular job to pursue, that was 17 years ago... ;D I don't see myself dumping my theatre work to become a full-time model-crafter though, I'd have to fall off of a ladder something. I found that papercraft was a hobby that complemented my theatre jobs and very often I find myself waiting on clients and I can use that wait time as model build time. Or kick the paper APC around the booth time. ;D

I'm sort of in the same boat, I studied and worked in theatre for (gulp) 25yrs. Now I'm trying to "diversify" into sculpture/woodworking but I don't think I'll ever give up on theatre. I have dreams of making paper modeling pay someday too, but finding time to up my quality and develope a line with all the other stuff I have going on is really a challenge. In my above post I was really (smart-assedly) speaking for others as I don't actually have a real job right now

Not as yet. Sirrob01 ran into some personal difficulties this spring and hasn't been able to participate here for quite some time. I will add this to my to-do list once I have the Onemonk.com site transfer is complete.
