I'm making minis for the characters of my group.
Each one has a mini, by Jabbro, Jim or Javier that is almost, but not quite, the character they play.
So I'm modding them.

Here are some NPCs: some Bear Knights, from the same order of Gregg Bigorna: Their motto is "Strength and Loyalty" since the order was created to fight a rival order of knights that defected. To enter the order the recruit has to fight a wild bear empty handed. Attachments:

I once did a similar thing with a Viking bear cult. Fight a bear with a flint knife in ritual combat. If you lost half your HP before you killed the bear you became a berserker. If you lost three-quarters of your HP you would become a were-bear. If you lost all your HP you were a sacrifice to the bear god.

My campaign is low magic, so the bear fight just got you trough the door. :-) But if you kill the bear you can wear the bearskin.
The barbarians have a similar rite of passage, if a warrior somehow survives something that by all rights he shouldn't have survived (a combat against a huge beast, or a whole enemy tribe, or a botched sacrifice or a fall from a great height) the tribe consider him dead anyway and he passes trough a healing process that leaves the white scars that mark him as an undead. Then he is treated as a thing by the tribe and make for fearsome and fearless shock troops, since they are already dead, they haven't nothing to loose.

Brilliant!! They all look fantastic...but I especially love the dwarf. (I love dwarves for some reason. Must be from reading the Hobbit when I was 10). Beautiful! DaveA

WOW! I didn't even see him hiding back there! ;D I LOVE seeing my things in pictures. That means people are using them, and that is what it is all about!
